    iAmTheTot , (edited )
    @iAmTheTot@kbin.social avatar

    Other stores than Walmart would sell Old Spice deodorant.

    Walmart locks up items that are prone to theft in the area. Different things will be locked up in different Walmart's, because different areas have different rates of theft for different things.

    Deodorant has been stolen a lot in your area if they've locked it up.

    werefreeatlast OP ,

    This makes sense and believe me that it is how I think the problem is being handled. However, it’s just not even 10% convenient. They might as well stop selling it because if it’s locked I’m not dealing with anyone for deodorant. It’s embarrassing like buying condoms when there’s a huge line behind you and you’re paying with change. That never happened to me, but I figured it out.

    sailingbythelee ,

    Deoodorant is the gift you give to those around you. So, if someone needs deodorant so bad that they need to steal it…I’m thinking you should just let them have it.

    As of 2021 the science was not settled on the ice loss as a cause or an affect. This article goes into both theories.

    Krauerking ,

    Interesting. I would love to work on that kind of data model, as there is an interesting thing to point out with the movement of the polar vortex:
    It dips further south to follow along land mass.

    I wonder if the wind currents have an easier time maintaining speed along flat surfaces or if the water being warmer causes pockets of higher pressure further north than usual pushing the vortex to be more unstable looking.

    It feels like it makes sense that the current would be much more stable along a surface that is more consistent and thus loss of ice smoothing the surface would cause it to wobble but inertia still remains the same meaning it needs to push down elsewhere where there is less resistance.

    So I would lean towards ice loss as a cause of changing polar vortex stability but I kinda gave up that ability to do anything about this or study such things a while ago.

I’m not defending or attacking anything. It was a confusing use of regardless and I thought it was funny enough to point out.

Anyone saying this phrase is a white supremacist trying to trip you into “agreeing” with them that a white genocide exists and is happening, and to convince bystanders (youtube teens at the beginning of the alt-right pipeline) that the left is against white people, ergo if you’re white you should become a Nazi.
