Parroting bullshit labels like ‘coronation’ when describing the logical decision to promote the VP candidate is feeding into conservative propaganda, even when presented this way.
Especially when it was essentially a coronation for Trump this time. Pretty much no one thought DeSantis or Haley had a chance, and they came the closest. Trump knew it, which is why he didn’t bother doing any of their debates. Which made them pointless debates.
Oh of course. I just know he does the alliteration thing for insulting others because he’s dumb and his base is too. Which unfortunately makes it effective.
So giving ole Diaper Don some alliterative handles is both too easy and fun. There are tons of options and I’m sure Dumbass Don would love to hear them all.
Hell, he probably said it himself during that interminable incoherent ramble he called an acceptance speech. Nobody noticed because everyone’s ears had gone numb by then.
Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.
Yeah it’s true that while he was never exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, he does seem to have gotten a lot worse fairly quickly. Might be COVID, it’s been linked to cognitive decline and I’ve definitely seen that in my own parents who are no spring chicken
I doubt most of them listen to him at all. They listen to Fox or Newsmax or whatever social media, who only cherrypick the fragments that sound vaguely coherent, and conversely only played the pieces of Biden’s speeches that were incoherent. They either don’t realize or don’t care that they’re not looking at the whole picture.
No, it’s that they hear someone they understand. “He says it like it is,” is white people speak for “his words aren’t confusing me.” Bc really all Don ever does is tell a story like a trailer park kid. It speaks to their biases and emotions and that’s all they care about
Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was, the battle at Gettysburg, what an unbelievable. I mean, has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
If we had the time to rerun primaries in fifty states and ask the voters I would say we should do that, but since we don’t and Harris is a successor all the voters could have forseen when casting ballots for Biden we should just go with her.
What I’m not looking forward to is having to hear the opinions of party insider convention delegates over the next few weeks. If they try to act like extra special voters and give the nomination to someone other than Harris that’s going to be a slap in the face to voters and make any sense of party unity totally implode.
They're trying out new talking points, unrelated to "Is this lady gonna try to end democracy or not," for reasons for people not to support Harris
She was a prosecutor being another. Of course, that's only when talking to the left; when targeting semi-conservatives who are just too sensible to want to support Trump (which is a sizable fraction of the Democrats' base), I suspect they may soon start trying crypto-bigoted arguments like about her laugh or that she's unstable and crazy. You know... you know what I'm saying.
The regime hates mothers and children... nothing to do with Biden.
Stop pinning this shit on regime faces... do y'all really think Biden lobby for this haha well maybe he did but let's be real these policies are the willing of the ruling elite.
The formal policy is clear indicative of disdain for mothers and children tho... it aint like they don't care... they literally created a regime that punished both every chance they get.
How is this "don't care"
This is out right hostility and you are whitewashing it.
Who said “don’t care”?
I’m confused. Are you sure your reply went to the right comment?
I’ll assume it is.
You have two opposing interests. If you help either one, you’ll hurt the other. You like both; But no matter what you choose, one of them will be “punished”.
Guaranteeing parental leave will look like “clear indicative of disdain for” businesses, the same way not doing so does as you said.
Yeah I bet the skeevers are upset, regularless of the new nominee Trump is almost surely going to get destroyed in the next debate. Also now most of Trump’s points against Biden apply to himself instead of the other candidate.
That is Red Guy! If you haven’t seen Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, you should check it out. Wildly bizarre and trippy youtube series. They also made a tv series recently, but I haven’t seen that yet.
I only believed that because he preemptively made excuses as to why he wouldn’t attend the last one. I’m sure he’s glad he did now considering the outcome, but I wouldn’t put it past him to simply opt to not take the risk debating Harris. People are quick to forget, he also performed badly during that debate, but everyone’s focus was on Biden’s apparent sundowning. He got away with one bad performance, but he probably won’t be so lucky next time.
I don’t know what Kamala’s stance on Israel’s genocide of Palestinians is.
But there is a zero chance she supports them no matter what like Biden.
Bibi just lost his closest ally in world politics. An actual ceasefire is likely coming before Biden leaves office, because without Biden, Israel doesn’t have the blank check anymore.
Don’t celebrate too soon. Trump was the one that recognized Jerusalem for the Israelis. He’s really not fond of brown people, and counts American Evangelicals as part of his supporter base.
He also repealed the law prohibiting Israeli settlements on Palestinian territory. Netanyahu was so grateful, he named a settlement after Trump in Golan Heights.
That's a naive, take... the only reason why she is allowed to take for Biden is because AIPAC approved it... y'all need to learn how this game is played... jfc it is 2024.
In American politics, money is power. It’s not shadowy at all anymore. It’s the law.
AIPAC has a ton of money and they spend it heavily on candidates here. They notoriously flip-flop between left and right candidates to get the best deal for themselves. It’s not some consipiracy theory. They are just one of many wealthy entities who openly and legally purchase influence in American politics.
