Man, I’ve work as a roadie on their show, there was maybe 20 girls, bearly 18, hand picked by some security dude right in front of the stage, the whole group was moved to backstage as soon as the show ended, they’re famous for their post show orgies, it’s fucking gross, some were really young and he’s 60… I loved Rammstein, but now it feels wrong. Maybe he hasn’t been convicted due to lack of evidence (also remember he has money and isn’t your regular joe), but defending a man fucking girls when he could be their grand pa is also fucking gross.
the age of the women really isn’t the problem here. if a woman is 18+ she can fuck whoever she wants, even men thrice her age. even girls between 16 and 18 are legally allowed to have sex with much older men, as long as they aren’t compensated for it.
the problem here is rather the lack of consent. many women report being sexually assaulted or even drugged and raped.
Maybe it’s not a problem for you, but it is for me, as I said I find it really fucking gross to fuck 18yo when you’re 60… but to each his own I guess. Lack of consent isn’t gross it’s fucking outrageous, and punishable, no controversy here, but age does play a part in that too, at 18 lots of girls won’t be able to see they’re about to be drugged and abused, they’re easy preys.
The court actively tried to contact the victims over several countries or anybody who could testify. Except for one witness no one showed up and the one witness only said she doesn’t know what happened.
So maybe there is a very safe way to get women to forget everything that happens or he is not guilty.
We aren’t rapist apologists. But the investigation was dropped due to a lack of evidence. What else can people do to proof their innocence to people like you?

They could have been roofied yeah. Happens sadly at parties. Doesnt mean the band had anything to do with it. Anyways, charges dropped means I consider them not guilty. Everything else would allow accusations alone to destroy lifes even when the accused is not guilty.
There’s one thing that I miss about downloading music and that’s knowing that in some cases it’s good the artist isn’t getting any money. Admittedly I’m happier knowing that most of the artists I listen to get paid now that I stream. I know there’s a huge discussion about how artists don’t get paid enough and I agree but that’s not what I’m talking about.
Like if I downloaded their music, uploaded as little as I possibly could, then listen to it alone and don’t share, talk about or popularize their work in any way, am I supporting an artist accused of rape? It’s kind of the same argument as ‘if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound’ or ‘death of the artist.’ Now to be frank, there are bands/artists that I don’t listen to on streaming services because I know they will benefit from me listening. Rammstien is one of them.

generally take all accusations with a grain of salt, I’m not saying that the lady is a liar, but often these things just turn into massive rumor mills, and as far as I know from people who have worked with the band in the past, the band themselves generally get wasted on anything they get their hands on, but that’s not uncommon in the punk/metal scene.

I’m kinda glad we downvote the things we disagree with. Whether on topic or not, shit opinions don’t deserve to be displayed with the same prominence as reasonable opinions.

This is silly though, isn’t it? Most people think most things that they disagree with are low quality by nature of being something they disagree with.
Whatever was intended for them, IMO upvotes and downvotes work because everyone just uses them however they want, and the sum total of everyone doing that averages out to a somewhat passable quality sorting system. Trying to tell people how to use their upvotes and downvotes is just yelling into the wind.

Intent is irrelevant. Humans don’t work that way and will continue to downvote what they don’t like/agree with and upvote what they do like/agree with. Creating a system that ignores how people work and asking them to please use it how you want will never work.

When I use it, I mean ok, because that’s what it actually means. It’s simply a way to acknowledge someone was heard. I will not be changing bc others read more into it. Tis way too exhausting to consider every hidden meaning someone might have.
I reckon context is important here. If someone is chewing you out and you give a thumbs up it could be passive aggressive. But yeah in a business context I use it pretty frequently to acknowledge the message without needing to add to the conversation.

What the fuck is wrong with people? It’s been common knowledge that hp is trash for decades now. The whole idea of capitalism is that the bad products fail when customers go to the competitors who do a better job, but hp is not a monopoly and there are better competitors that exist, but people keep in buying HP because frankly, they are too fucking stupid. Capitalism is a lie because consumers are too stupid to pick the best products.
I don’t have any experience with their laptops, but they pissed me off so much with their printers that I’ve written off their entire brand. Even if their other stuff is really good, I’m fine with writing them off entirely just out of spite.
Honestly the laptops are pretty good in my opinion. My HP pavillion laptop had space to upgrade RAM, install new hard drives and plenty of ports. But I still agree with you that the printers are complete rubbish.
If you only print something once every couple of months I only need a cheap printer and dont care if the ink is a bit more expensice since I never use it. Though I admit my blood pressure always rises trying to get the thing to work
I bought a brother laser printer and have had no issues with it, and I’m still using the original toner years and hundreds of pages later. They’re more expensive up front but they’re not that much more expensive. The entry level brother laser printer is only ~$100, and compared to HP, by the time you buy 2 ink cartridges you’ll have lost any savings you made on the printer itself. It is absolutely not cheaper to buy HP. If I’d have done that I’d have spent more on HP ink alone by now than the entire brother printer which I haven’t had to replace the toner for even though the one it’s sold with isn’t totally full.
Ink jets burn ink even if you dont print anything, with their periodic “cleaning cycles”. That or their nozzles jam if you dont print often enough. They can make really high quality prints, but I’d never buy one again. Lasers can sit for months and they still pop out perfect prints every time.
Most people just buy a printer, they’re not doing research on the subject. And if they’re not using computers day to day, or for work, they’re even less likely to know what shit hp is up to.
The average person is not invested into printers and just needs a printer to occasionally print something. It’s not something they know a lot about and in the store they see a cheap printer from a well known brand that gave them good experiences with other products. It makes total sense for them to buy it. I’m sure they will know what products/brands to avoid in other areas that are unknown to you.
To add to yours, when the person who isn’t up on printers goes to a store like walmart that has 4 different HP models on the shelf ranging from $40 to $90, one cannon for $80, and one brother for $120, they will be much more apt to get the HP because they just don’t know.
The simplest proof that the Homo Economicus human model used in the mathematical models that justify Free Market Theory is complete total bollocks is that the Marketing that has no mention of the qualities of the product whatsoever, actually works (perfumes and cars are prime examples but there are tons of examples for consumer tech also).
That and some people from Behavioural Economics (the only part of that domain which is actually scientific) have shown with various experiments that there are lots of ways in which people are not rational in their economic decisions, hence not at all the “pure personal upside maximizer” which is the Homo Economicus model.
People sticking to a well-known name such as HP is probably down to the effect of familiarity (at times known as “name recognition”) - maybe one of the biggest irrationalities in human economic behaviour and one of the pathways most commonly exploited by marketing.
And for example, the products that sell the most on amazon are not the best products, they’re the ones that give amazon the biggest advertising budget.
