I was skeptical but in the photos there’s no injury to the side of his head. Just seems incredibly unlikely that a bullet would clip his ear and hit nothing else whatsoever. So yeah, an injury falling does seem kinda likely.
That was my first thought, hit up that ‘other’ site and saw a video on /r/interstingasfuck and it looks like he grabbed his ear immediately after first two(?) shots so I think he was actually grazed.
Works fine for me, try again. Also I suggest muting it after you hear the gunshots, there’s some terrified screaming that put me on edge. (There’s a few more gunshots fired more quickly after the first set, but other than that they sound the same.)

I’m far more concerned about Trump’s edging of violent white supremacy groups that have repeatedly threatened violence if they don’t get their way, makes me think of it was Biden probably some magat shooting because they’re dumb as a sack of uneducated incestuous rocks. Since this is Trump I’m inclined to believe he actually fell and they’re playing it off that it was gunshots to hide the fact Trump is unstable mentally and physically.
It’s incredible people are down voting you because they don’t like this thought. Y’all know how America is right? If this is all real, his approval numbers likely grow and his base gets fired up. Reagan got a bump back in the day.

No, it’s just a bullshit argument in this election. The electorate is viscerally polarized, and very few people are in the fence about who to vote for - maybe some undecided about whether they’ll vote at all. I can’t imagine there are many people who are going to switch from Biden to Trump because of this, or who will even go from undecided to Trump. It makes no sense.
On the other hand, Trump is going to fundraise the crap out of that picture, and it will squeeze lots more money out of his base.
Do you remember 9/11? The war in Iraq? Are you aware of what happened with the assassination attempt against Reagan? Do you remember how those affected the approval ratings of politicians?

I really hate the guy but if you’ve never had a near-death experience you wouldn’t understand that your logic is a bit weird in the moment. it takes more than a couple of moments for your brain to catch up with reality. his shoes are special thick lift shoes to make him seem way taller because he’s extremely vain. if he fell out of his awkward tall shoes when he ducked, he probably would have been preoccupied in the moment with not appearing short and weak (his true form) until the reality caught up to him. I don’t doubt at all that some sycophantic pr stooge was yelling into his earpiece to “look triumphant, look triumphant!!” when he was getting back up though.
CNN speculated that lots of those shots were the Secret Service returning fire. They are reporting on TV that you can hear them saying “Shooter down” and that it was then safe to move Trump. I couldn’t hear that, but someone on TV said they could hear that in the chatter.
Very unlikely, it’s an easy intuitive thing to think when emotions are high, and there is so much at stake with the election and division so high, that emotions are high as well.
Having a shooter miss you on purpose is something that is extremely risky, not easy to stage, and the US has enough armed people with emotions boiling over and little to lose. It is very much the overwhelmingly more likely scenario.
Where did the other shots go? Security should have seen something. Dude is a known coward. There’s no way if it was real he would have reacted that way.
The reports I am hearing say that at least two people besides the shooter are dead, which probably is where (some of) the other bullets went. Dude is a coward, but also a narcissist, I assume he noticed that the Secret Service had already killed the shooter, so immediately switched into “I am invincible” mode.
Again, I understand it as an intuitive reaction, but the world is a lot more chaotic than that, and huge conspiracies coordinated well like that are super, super rare. Waiting and being willing to adjust your position is a good thing to do right now. With more stuff coming out, the situation will become more clear.
At this point, we know very little, but with what we do know at the moment - for this, you’d need:
someone willing to be taken out as the shooter, willing to or being tricked into shooting blanks, or an extremely elaborate plan to switch in a body (you also have to acquire and prepare somewhere) in front of witnesses and potential cameras
someone without blanks firing to explain the other bystanders dead from bullets
complete control over the subsequent investigation, to make sure no one looks into it properly, which would make all the people involved in the know

Agreed. Further, [email protected] in this post commented that we can hear the rounds hitting before the report, and since blanks don’t hit, we can presume this was not faked.
Or just use a razor and actually cut your ear. I’d say someone took their shot and missed. He happened to turn his head at the last moment, or the shot would have made a solid hit.
Yeah this is not going to result in anything good. I keep thinking about what’s happened after Robert Fico got shot, basically how it’s being used as a confirmation of everything bad his supporters believe about his opponents and as a justification for further sliding into authoritarianism
Yeah, this is my real fear with all of this. Trump is definitely going to feed on his new victimhood to further rally his supporters and make them more extreme.

Yeah but on the pics I saw his ear looked fine, it had blood on it, but still totally normal. I guess it might have been blood from someone nearby that hit him? If rumors are true someone got shot in the head, that tends to splatter some blood.
I’m leaning towards fake and staged, honestly. No article says a shooter was seen/killed/shot/apprehended/existed. Just that there were shots. When was the last time that happened with a real shooter? And nothing could be better for Trump’s campaign than to be almost assassinated.

When it comes to the Republican party, every accusation has been an admission. It would be ridiculously on-brand to stage an assassination attempt. Just watch the response and tell me it isn’t for show.
100% agree. I’ll bet he had something in his hand to “bloody” his ear. Nothing he’s ever done has been honest. And now- this is pretty much all he needs to deal the deal.
This will energize his base and he will win the election. It will also mean Republican domination of the House and Senate. The next two years will be a clusterfuck as normal and barriers are demolished and regular people begin to realize they’ve elected fascism. The midterms will begin to look like a blue wave, but then they will point back to moments like this to declare the Democratic party “illegitimate” and remove them from ballot access, if midterm elections happen at all.
This is the end of any semblance of democracy in the US for at least a generation.
hey it’s not our guys that declared that anything a president does is automatically legal, even something like this. you folks fought for and pushed that ruling through. you’d have to be a special kind of dumb to get upset that you’re getting shot at when you’ve expressly legalized the act of shooting at people. great “law and order” move guys, you legalized all the so-called “biden crime family” actions to make sure your guy can do whatever he wants when he becomes king. i guess they’re just the normal biden family now thanks to y’all.
There’s no reason to believe he was up there for a long time. He may have fired the minute he got to the roof. Just because you’re good doesn’t mean you win.
I mean yeah, however people pointed at the guy on the roof before it happened, so to me law enforcement should have got wind of what was happening before he fired, not only that but the snipers that were with the USSS clearly didn’t spot the guy moving around on a nearby roof until it was too late
