I think it’d be pretty tricky to get a fire going at that size and get the photo taken before the thin plastic of the tent melted or burst into flames. The tent in the picture is fine, which I honestly think would be impossible with that setup, even if you tried to be quick

The nipple isn’t technically one hole, it’s kind of like a porous sponge. After all, mammary glands are just mutated sweat glands, it’s a series of holes connected to a series of ducts.

So a lot of people find when lactating that it can spurt in crazy directions from unexpected parts of the nipple.

@dudeami0@lemmy.dudeami.win avatar

From my understanding, you are pretty safe as long as you don’t provoke them (walking through the middle of them might be considered provoking) or near their calves. This article from the UK states “Where recorded, 91% of HSE reported fatalities on the public were caused by cows with calves”. Basically, mothers with a child are going to be very protective.

Cows are a domesticated creature, so they are generally docile, but I would exercise caution because if need be they will use their mass and strength against you. I’ve heard of stories of farmers running from cows and narrowly escaping under a fence. Most of these did involve a farmer trying to separate a calve from it’s mother. I’ve also heard stories of cows jumping fences.

And as far as memes go:

I’m really liking lemmy and my iOS app (mlem) and enjoying the community. The only thing I miss from Reddit is the video integration.

What’s the point of those types of bots, though? I guess they’re just trying to have vaguely genuine looking accounts to use for some future purpose, maybe political or advertising related.

uhN0id ,

My best guess is karma farming so they can sell them off. Probably create hundreds of accounts they can sell off. If some brand buys an account that looks reputable for $20-$100 to use it for astroturfing then that’s a pretty good deal for both sides. Shitty deal for everyone else.

But yeah, fuck those ChatGPT bots. I recently posted on r/AITAH and the only response I got was obviously from a large language model… it was infuriating.

Honestly, I didn’t even think enough about the whole thing enough to realize that the President could possibly get away with murder. Wouldn’t that make it an obvious ruling then? Yeah, people are just going to keep using it, they just won’t get updates. That means they will be vulnerable to any exploits that come along afterward but most people don’t care. M$ shot everyone in the foot when they decided to limit windows 11 compatibility.

When windows 7 came out I knew people who stuck with windows xp until they bought a new computer with 10 or 11 on it. The market will get a slight bump from EoL but it isn’t going to force everyone with windows 10 to run out and buy a new computer immediately.

I feel like I was watching a very different situation than the rest of you were.

First off, the antiwork subreddit didn’t actually accomplish anything. It was mostly people complaining about bad/illegal practices at their jobs, and literally nothing changing.

Second, things didn’t die after that mod appearance. It drew attention to many users that the mods had a different goal than they did, but that didn’t change the atmosphere of the posts for very long. The work_reform sub did become more popular, and antiwork still kept getting just as many people complaining about bad practices.

And neither sub got people organized, neither sub changed attitudes, and neither sub made a difference.

I disagree but it didn’t accomplish anything. It made people aware that they are not alone in their situation and thinking. It created community. peanuts4life , to piracy in GPT-4 for free
@peanuts4life@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

This feels… Scammy? Not to be accusatory, but gpt 4 is expensive to run. It is impossible for people to use it for free.

What llm is actually providing the response here? Either someone is footing the bill for an API and acting as a proxy, a situation which raises many red flags, or the model you’re talking to is something far cheaper to run, like a mistral model.

Even the second case is sketchy. 😅

aldalire OP ,

Figuring this one out myself too. Liaobots is a chinese site and when asked about the gpt-4-plus model it mentions that it’s based on the gpt-4 architecture but i’m not too sure as well. My guess is that the chinese reverse engineered gpt-4 and put it out there, like a bootleg gpt-4.

Bing tends to get heavily ratelimited.

So maybe, yes you’re there’s a sketchiness and too-good-to-be-true factor to this so maybe calling it “free gpt-4” is a bit misleading. But it’s still super cool to have an all-in-one interface for all your llm providers and models :)

peanuts4life ,
@peanuts4life@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

There is almost no chance that it is truthfully based on gpt 4. If you want a free, open source llm with 32k context and generous limits, I recommend using huggingface.co/chat/

The nous-hermes model (you can select different models) is uncensored, and performs really well for a open source model. Plus, they have data controls so you can turn off data gathering per model. Huggingface is a reputable vendor, and doesn’t claim to be something it isn’t.

aldalire OP ,

Huggingface is included in the providers listed here actually :) and i agree. I can’t read chinese so i don’t know how legit or sketch liaobots.com is

peanuts4life ,
@peanuts4life@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

I mean, be careful. These llms can be honeypots for data. Like, if you’re using it for cover letters, or work, you’re sending tons of personal info to random websites.

I would recommend sticking to actual, reputable vendors for llms, or running your own. I have a GTX 1070 and can run some pretty decent models these days locally using koboldai.

Bing is probably the only way to use gpt 4 without paying for it, and Microsoft probably won’t steal your bank account info.
