Let’s be honest, you see someone walking alone wearing this and holding a knife on Halloween night or anytime of the year at night, it will be pretty terrifying.
I watched a YouTube video a while ago where a professional shoemaker cuts this thing apart and discovers that it’s actually a pretty darn well made piece of footwear. Like, quality materials and good construction and everything.
All other ridiculous aspects of these boots aside, at least it’s well made.
I’m not into shoes and boots, but that guy has thuroughly described why I hate some shoes, why I like some, and which models to avoid or seek. He’s a shoe scientist! Everyone that seeks function and quality should watch some of his videos.
Reddit gimmick is that its an advertising website disguised as a forum.
What it did was collect people with similar interest so they could sell their attention.
This made it easy for the fly by night T-shirt seller or latest alibaba enthusiasts selling the latest trend. Post a meme about the trend. Use a socket puppet account or wait for a comment that said “wow that’s really crazy here’s a link where you can learn more”. In this case its to a video of a channel paid to act impressed by the quality. And then link or suggest where to buy them.
Rose Anvil’s channel does a pretty good job at holding footwear companies feet - or should I say “shoes” - to the fire. I do feel conflicted with some of his opinions on leather vs other eco-friendly options, though.
It’s about a controvery with their former channel, funhaus. The one on the right playing the game, Adam Kovic, was fired for sexual harrasment a few years later. The one in the center, Bruce Greene left a little while before, supposedly over concerns about Adam. James Willems, the one who made the comment, is the only one left.
