Still playing Dark Souls 2 - almost 100 hours in and there’s just Darklurker and Aldia left. This game just keeps going and going, really well worth the cost. Since I’m almost through, I can see why it seems to be the black sheep of the series. But, despite some problems (like needing to refer to a guide constantly) I like it a lot, and will definitely do a NG+ eventually.

Also started Yooka-Laylee and I love it already. It’s very true to the Banjo Kazooie style.

How people manage to play and chat online with random people?

This may sound dumb for some of you but I just can’t play online, or at least I can’t play anything with chat or a very social aspect. That’s why I only play tekken on my xbox since that doesn’t require socialisation but I have so many games and I feel half of them are worthless now that I finished the campaigns because...

There are thousands and thousands of discord servers you can join without any invite. Try searching disboard.org to find a server for your game, or check YouTubers descriptions, many have one you can join. You’re not the only person I’ve heard complain about discord being difficult to learn. It does get easy, especially if you can find someone to help you join a voice chat or something.

Depending on the game you might have built in chat. I have made friends with random people I gamed with, and we continued for years.

I don’t care if they are “gaming” specific, but I like PCs because they are more customizable /upgradeable

With the recent issues of transgender people in sports, why don’t we move some sports over to a weight-class system?

Obviously this won’t work for all sports, but things like football, track, soccer, it would allow for de-gendered team, even allowing athletes with the skills but not the genetically-endowed physical attributes to have a place to play....

To me it has a similar feel to some of the later Sonic games, but without the fear of falling off the level. I recommend checking out a how to play guide because it just jumps in without explaining.

Who would win: every human in the world vs. every animal in the world?

I’m thinking the animals would easily defeat us, since trying to get all 8 billion+ humans to agree on a plan of attack would be a near-impossible task. By the time we’d be done trying to coordinate a plan, I figure the lions and cheetahs would have already devoured us, not to mention the larger animals like the elephants....

Depends on the conditions. Is it a wall of death where both sides charge at each other and fight to the death? Do the animals communicate and strategize, or just gain a sudden bloodlust for humans and march at us?

If the animals were able to coordinate, I would worry about a giant ant golem stomping through cities.

Guitar is hard. It takes months or years of practice to even develop the finger strength and speed to play some things. I always had fun learning in my early teens, because I wanted to, even though I was terrible. Then after 2 or so years of playing every day it became really fun and I was able to get the ideas from my imagination to my fingers.

It’s like a lot of things worth learning - you have to really want it, and it’s never as easy as it appears.

I didn’t graduate with my class in high school because I was 1 credit short. Not giving a fuck and home life. I moved out as soon as I turned 18 and finished that last credit. Eventually did some college programs and crushed them because I was interested and in a much better place mentally.

Large animals hunting me. Usually big cats (lions, tigers, jaguars, not house cats). But the last few times I remember these types of dreams I have been safe inside some structure, with just the threat they will find a way through a door or window.

Congrats on turning your life around and getting into the outdoors.

A quick way to learn would be to find a friend who knows and go camp with them.

I think you should not try to acquire all the gear until you know what you will actually use (besides, you will be the one carrying it)

Things I would definitely bring:

-a hatchet

-container(s) to drink from and cook in

-lighters

-single burner propane stove

-tent

-sleeping bag

-tarp

-rope and/or ratchet straps

-water filter (MSR MiniWorks EX is my personal fave)

-garbage bag(s)

Based on what you described, I think you should just go for it with some basics for one night at a time, and you will quickly learn what you want to bring in the future.

I’ve been using Brave Search supplemented by Startpage for the past 2+ years. When I search for something, I want to get results for credible webpages, not a summary of unknown quality. I liked the previous AI inclusion because it was instant, didn’t take up much space, and I could quickly navigate to the websites referenced...

I think morbid curiosity is not weird, people rubberneck at car accidents. What you are describing sounds like it is going beyond a passing interest though, and the further you go down that rabbit hole, the weirder it will be.

Since you’re asking, it might be a good idea to talk to a professional. You might also consider getting into something like an extreme sport.
