In fairness, I’ve had to write a privacy policy due to store restrictions. It boiled down to “everything stays on your phone. I don’t collect your data, I don’t want your data, I don’t even have a backend server that could be collecting your data. If you find my app sending telemetry of any kind, please tell me immediately because that should not be happening”

That being said, this doesn’t exactly inspire confidence

KeenFlame ,

And nothing at all inspires more people confidence so that’s why they need the policies. It’s not possible to satisfy this

I actually thought this was a police tool for breaking in doors.

So according to comments it’s a post driver. So far I dug holes and put my poles in. This tool seems practical for soft soil, but what do you do when living somewhere with rocky soil or with dry clay soil?

DasAlbatross ,

We have dry clay soil. You put on hearing protection and whack the shit out of the t-post with this bad boy.

sinkingship ,

Ah thanks! So you use thin metal posts. I still use self cut wood like a caveman and whack the shit out of other things.

DasAlbatross ,

Yeah, i wouldn’t use one of these to drive in the wooden posts. We still need them every once in a while for stability.

Etterra ,

Wouldn’t it be easier to just rent an auger?

HelixDab2 ,

If you’re putting in t-posts, an auger is going to end up making a really big hole. An auger would be more appropriate, IMO, for a wooden post.

Sam_Bass ,

Fill it with concrete and it might do in a pinch

Hugin ,

For hard soil you use a different tool. It’s similar to how you have saws for wood and saws for metal.

When you fill the tube with cement it gets the nickname “Redneck Lockpick”.

JovialMicrobial ,

I’ve used one to put those skinny metal posts in that have wings on the bottom part to make it hard to rip them back out. A post hole digger is usually used for large wooden posts.

HelixDab2 , to lemmyshitpost in Bet y'all are very familiar with this

I use them for helping to set up stages for PCSL and hit-factor matches.

thr0w4w4y2 ,

Only $300 because not just anyone is clever enough to participate and I want only the best and most clever investors working with me.

HappycamperNZ ,

thr0w4w4y2 ,

“Partner” is a very exclusive title in my circle, and I reserve it only for the most discerning investors, who want to climb to the upper echelons of personal wealth. Common misconception actually. Moriori are an offshoot of Māori, most likely Ngai Tahu, who arrived in Aotearoa during the same migration period as everyone else.

The OS getting fully bricked because of a third party software update is still very much a OS level fuck up.

Robin ,

Depends. Since this is security software it probably has a kernel driver component. I think in linux a 3rd party kernel module could do the same. But the community would not accept closed source security software, especially not in the kernel.

jmcs ,
qjkxbmwvz ,

My Debian system was bricked when it “upgraded” to systemd.

Required attaching a monitor to a normally headless server to fix. (Turns out systemd treats fstab differently and can hang booting if USB drive isn’t attached.)

Steam, a 3rd party program, has nuked the home directory of users who didn’t really do anything wrong.

Programs have huge abilities to bork systems, be it Windows or Linux…

CaptPretentious ,

I’ve seen RHEL completely crap itself due to a 3rd party update. Wasn’t that long ago fairly certain it was a McAfee update that took down a bunch of our Linux boxes. It happens.

Illegal in some states I think. Fun fact when the term jaywalking was introduced, the term jay was a legitimate insult, meaning something like country bumpkin

KeefChief13 ,

I think if you are at a designated cross walk you can cross anytime traffic allows even if the signal isnt walk.

MHanak ,

Funny thing is that in poland the fine for jaywalking is lower than a fine for crossing on a red light, so you can just go around the crossing

I don’t know that they would buy Trump as Pharaoh. For one thing, the Pharaoh had to take part in a ritual called Heb-Sed, which included him running around a ceremonial track.

I don’t see Trump being willing to do that. Which meant goodbye Pharaoh.

frickineh ,

But consider this: a bunch of pharoahs were inbred as fuck, so Trump probably would’ve fit right in as soon as he started talking.

massive_bereavement ,

I'll pay good money to see him running any length.

trxxruraxvr , (edited )

They would consider anyone that needs votes to rule unworthy. They considered the pharaohs actual gods. Trump is just a wannabe.

Death_Equity ,

The premise is that they would vote for him, so that assumes there being a system where he could be voted for in some sort of alternative reality.
