It's honestly ridiculous. My sedan was totaled last year after being rear ended at a red light at maybe 5mph by a big fuck off truck. Minor cosmetic damage to their bumper, completely crushed the rear frame of my cat.

Thankfully, no one was hurt beyond bruising, which is the most important part.

I'm aware, and I'm more than happy to trade my car for my neck in any situation.

The issue is the proliferation of big fuckoff trucks. Had it been another reasonably sized car, it likely would have been a simple bumper replacement for both cars. Instead, I'm out a car for a significant period of time in an area where doing anything without a car is essentially just not a thing.

I've got a pretty decent stomach for horrible stuff. Having unfettered internet access from a very young age tends to desensitize you to a lot of things.

I damn near couldn't finish it, and honestly I wish I didn't. It's just so, so awful.

Not only is the quality going down hill, but the customer service is absolute shit now. Used to be you'd get a new mouse, no questions asked, because the double clicking thing is/was a known issue. When I had to replace my g703 a couple years back, the hoops they made me jump through to prove that it was actually broken was ridiculous. I know of several people who have had similar experiences. Took over 2 weeks to get them to send me a new one.

I spent way longer than I ever hoped to primarily selling printers. This is the answer. I'd wager a solid 80% of people would be better off buying a cheap brother laser and just going to walgreens/office depot/where ever the 2 times a year they need to print in color

There's a fairly big difference between "you're making an emulator for a console we stopped selling anything for a decade ago" and "you are actively cutting into the sales of everything we are currently doing"

Frankly, Im not quite sure what anyone expected. Of course they were going to go after them harder tan usual, especially when they made it pretty obvious they used proprietary code from TOTK. I'm as pro-piracy as they come, but ya still gotta use some of your brain.

The main point of that ruling was that they weren't using proprietary code. Yuzu almost certainly did after the TOTK leak, unless they magically just happened to improve that much directly afterwards.

I don't like it, but there's a pretty big chance that Yuzu loses this one.

Second this. I went to school in an otherwise fairly rural area. For me, it was the perfect mix. Everything was walkable/bikeable if you wanted, but it was also less than a 20 minute drive to get away from all of it. Tons of amazing parks in the area, hiking trails, you name it. The people were a mixed bag, but that's anywhere.

Going camping for the weekend was just as easy as going clubbing. I miss it so much, and fully plan to move to the area permanently if I'm ever able to.

Every single dress code I've been under has included hair.

Edit: I should add, some have been more restrictive than others. Back in high school, it was pretty restrictive. No unnatural dyes, stuff like that. I've also been under ones that essentially boil down to "just don't look like a complete mess man".

Competition is good for everybody but those that have a stake in the companies doing the consolidating. Of course, the people who have said stakes would include basically every single lawmaker.

If you ask me, the only investments that lawmakers should be able to make is into a fund that only returns at a rate that the average wage in the nation increases. Any extra goes into funding social services.

More specifically, it's because purple fires your red and blue cones, but not the green one. Normally, as green is between red and blue, anything that would trigger those two also would trigger green. So when it doesn't, that's when your brain goes "well I guess it's not green???"
