I have just watched the 1st episode of A Kind of Spark thanks to @PetitPas
It’s a Irish British American Canadian series. In Canada I’m watching it on CBC Gem, in the UK it seems to be on the CBBC channel, for the others countries I don’t know.
I like it because the 3 autistic sisters are played by autistic actors, use of the words autistic, masking, meltdown. etc. Shows sensory overload, etc., ignorance and bias.
@adelinej@actuallyautistic oh US, I used to be a kind of a bad consumer of less then licensed goods mostly movies and music books on demand until I had a run in w some malware, particularly nasty, I blame that so I swore off content pretty much unless I really want to watch it. I just was thinking of trying an episode just to try it out .
Haha, so, fun times: my land people are selling my house. I have the option to buy it, but because my chronically ill arse can no longer work, no one is gonna give me a mortgage. Rents are about £150 more expensive than what I'm currently paying.
I'm exploring options, but now would be a really great time to buy one of my books, purchase some of my art, or sign up for my Patreon.
Unfortunately, I am still pretty sick, so can't do much at the moment, but will add links below this to my stuff.
Join my Patreon for semi-regular smutty art and stories in the genres of fantasy, SF, and weird.

"Iran received messages from mediators to let the regime do a symbolic strike to save face, asked Iran not to retaliate,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed to The Cradle
"Iran has received messages from mediators to let the regime do a symbolic strike to save face and asked Iran not to retaliate,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed to The Cradle.
He added that Tehran “outright rejected” the proposal, delivered by mediators, and reiterated warnings that any Israeli attack on Iranian soil would be met with a decisive and immediate response.
The reply was delivered directly to the Swiss envoy in Tehran by officials from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and not the foreign ministry. According to The Cradle’s source, the decision for the IRGC to reply directly was meant “to send a strong warning to the US.”
“Iran successfully embarrassed all of the integrated radar network and anti-missile systems of the US and the [Israeli] regime. The US even activated its parked satellites over the region to do maximum protection and failed miserably,” the Iranian military official added.
The revelations come as US defense officials have told western media that they expect a “limited response” from Israel against Iran, which will reportedly focus on targets outside of Iranian territory.
Nevertheless, US officials stressed that Tel Aviv had not briefed the Pentagon on a “final decision” as discussions within Israel’s fractured war cabinet continued.
“The US does not intend to take part in the military response,” they confirmed. However, they expect Israel to inform Washington about response plans in advance.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani told state TV on Monday night that Tehran’s response to any Israeli retaliation would come in “a matter of seconds, as Iran will not wait for another 12 days to respond.”
@TropicalDingdong I actually just added a gazebo in the form of an Mbin account for this one yes. Edited that because ironic Alex Jones vibe seemed off
@the_white_wolf You don't have to apologize for being wrong. Even though I don't appreciate you telling me how I'm feeling especially since you know nothing about me.
However, I do sincerely apologize for not reading past that first sentence. Take care.
I hear you! Due to their greed, bland games, push for people to use Ubisoft Connect and subscriptions; I am a screw Ubisoft kind of person these days. I have some of their old games, but I can't be arsed to own any of their newer titles unless it's a DEEP sale. Like less than 10 dollars after tax. Ubisoft is contributing to the enshittification of games (along with Capcom, EA, Activision Blizzard) so supporting them consistently is not going to happen as it's just me asking to be punished via their greed.
#Helldivers, are you missing the feeling of crushing steel beneath your feet? Try your hand at clearing bug holes! With a simple loadout you can increase your nest-clearing speed tenfold!
If you miss the thrill of being surrounded, give this a go!
@littlebluespark A gatlin sentry is a great addition to this toolkit! I'm a fan of the Gatlin Barrage and the Orbital Airburst myself! I am the sentry!
Can anyone link me to a study or a chart something to prove to some paper pushers in my life that the average life expectancy for autistic people is at a set age?
I'm 46 now and I believe I am past the average life expectancy, and some paper pushers asking me to 'prove' my need for assistance, from a doctor, renewed annually... which'll cast off several years of my life in stressful experiences to upkeep.
@nddev@actuallyautistic You might be correct, asessing my family's longevity might be more accurate from lack of data in general. But..
I have tried the family avenue many years in the past with other proof-on-paper services unsuccessfully. I was required to provide death certificates I did not have permissions to obtain. When I asked grandpa for a copy of the deaths of his wife and daughter, I was told he threw those away because it depressed him.
But in reality it’s just someone with the body of an adult and the mentally of a toddler screaming nonsense and punching themself in the face while simultaneously blaming everyone else for it and declaring victory.

i don't know that anybody reads on Inkitt, tech bros like this kind of thing because they want to sell to credulous investors not because they think they're going to get any readers
AFAICT, nobody reads serial fic in English anywhere except wanna-be writers, so while Inkitt sorta does seem like a pyramid scheme, the writers do know what the (lousy) deal is in advance & it's on them if they publish there anyway
