Captain Ayako is due back today, and we still haven't recovered the shuttle. With all the other smaller problems, I don't think I'll be commanding more than a mop for the foreseeable future. Oh well. The sun's still gonna come up tomorrow somewhere. No one died, and the ship's more or less in one piece. Looking forward to seeing the captain.

We've detected a warp signature matching a Ferengi freighter leaving the asteroid field. Interestingly, a Ferengi vessel commanded by DaiMon Fral is conducting a 'scientific study' of the area. Since when do Ferengi engage in scientific anything? If there isn't immediate profit to be had, it usually doesn't get done.

We've traced the missing shuttle to an asteroid field outside Gemaris V, but lost the trail. The shuttle was emitting neutrinos due to leaking plasma coupler which allowed us to follow it, but all traces have disappeared. Perhaps it was repaired before the journey continued. We've found no debris.

Shuttlepod 1 is missing, and nobody knows anything. I don't know how a shuttle just disappears, but here we are. Third shift is the worst. Security is trying to track down leads, but nothing so far. Captain's gonna be pissed if we haven't recovered it before she gets back.

I'm rewatching Space 1999 and I cannot believe the massive drop in quality between Season1 and Season 2. In every respects, stories, character development (or lack thereof), set design, costumes, soundtrack. Unbelievable. #SciencFiction#Scifi#AllStarTrek@allstartrek What a waste.
