Global warming killing off massive populations of livestock doesn’t care.
You will eat bugs; you already eat bugs. What percentage do you think is in your vegetables you eat, breakfast cereals, snack foods and other processed foods you buy?
Do you seriously think the factories that mass produce your food actually spend the money to fucking process your food in sterile clean rooms?
Volume is half from the peak and near lows... They rich just keep trading more expensive houses between each other, which results in higher median teade price...
He’s 75, she’s 59, and they’ve been married for a year and a half.
I’m glad this was documented, and I hope she’s able to get out of the marriage. (And that he never works again, the hypocrite.) No one deserves that sort of abuse.
Nothing he said was even that bad. He said “our revolution” which is talking about the changes happening in NYC. And we’re going to dedicate a whole article to what people on social media have said about it? Wtf?
We’ve got something north of a trillion dollars in deferred infrastructure maintenance. You see the edges of the problem in the whole Flint water crisis, when a cheapo state appointed city planner overruled the local government to pump untreated river water through aging leaded pipes. Or the Minnesota bridge collapse.
But this kind of underfunded domestic investment is everywhere. We’ve leeched vast stocks of wealth from our urban core and thrown it into our war machine abroad, and now our nation is crumbling under our feet.
Climate change simply accelerates the speed of the rot.
Ah yes, great idea, take a vulnerable group and then use them to push a nationalist pseudoscience. Honestly, acupuncture has been shown to not work, it has no viable mechanism of action, and if there is any effect it is extremely small and unreliable. Obviously not upset about the post of the study, just the absolutely pointless waste of the study itself.
We dont want to use AC on the rooms the athletes will be staying during summer, because we care about the environment. But here are some flying taxis, because that is surely good for the environment.
So, to cool a 10m^2^ room by 20°C is 1.5KW(5.4E9J)/h. On average, a Volocopter uses around 10kWh to fly someone 2km. The greater Paris metro area is 50km at its widest, 10km at its narrowest. Assuming Volocopter is operating only within the greater Paris metro area, this means bringing Metron (and a guest, presumably) on this trip would use about 150kWh, or enough to cool one (small) room for 100 days, or 100 rooms for 1 day - assuming hot (ca 32C) days, cooling down to around room temperature.
My point is that, while a pet racoon may sound like a lot of fun, they’re pretty destructive; it’s better to talk your best friend into getting one and then just enjoy the raccoon interactions without having to constantly repair the drywall in your house.
In Clarkson’s farm last season he starts growing mushrooms in this tiny space and the production just looked insane, like come back two days later to kilos and kilos of mushrooms. I seriously considered starting this as a side gig but I don’t have any space for it.
