Hi, I have an Asus vivobook pro 16x oled (M7600QC) optimus laptop with a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 Max-Q rated 50w. When I try to use the dedicated Nvidia GPU on Linux, the wattage is only 35w. If I enable the “nvidia-powerd” daemon, it goes up to ~40w. Is there a way to raise the wattage to the rated 50w like on Windows?...

My current tv is so old that the netlfix app isn’t supported anymore. From an usb stick it can only play h.264 videos so I always have to run them through hand brake first. That is why I want to buy an streaming box. Preferably under 50€...

WebDAV has been around a lot longer and does many of the same things as object storage. It also has support for random access read/writes where object storage requires you to download, edit, and re-upload the whole file. Seems like a no-brainer if you wanted to offer cloud storage to customers....

I am on Manjaro GNOME 45.4 (x11) and after some recent update, I am unable to type for example: aa, or 77, or ANY two identical characters in a row, so it only registers the first: a, 7, etc....

Had someone contact me because a browser interface was ‘down’ and it was actually a cert issue. It surprised me that in an IT context, this person didn’t have a basic understanding of SSL certs. They didn’t even know how to add a cert exception....

Hi all, I’ve installed Debian in 2 (mdadm RAID 1 formtted with Btrfs) NVMe drives installed into 2 PCIe adapters. The motherboard doesn’t support booting from those drives, so I’ve installed Debian into a USB stick (and it works) and I wanted to add into grub the RAID NVMe drives....
