I could also imagine a much stronger push to bring the birthrate up even at the cost of using unethical means to force it, because if the population decreases, there wouldn’t be enough children born for an increasingly large percentage to reincarnate into
Considering the Rich tend to control governments, this would result in shit like a ban on contraception and abortion, mayhaps legally requiring everyone have a minimum amount of children.
We had cable for about 2 years of my childhood before my dad decided it was too expensive again. I have very limited knowledge of some Disney channel shows from 2000.
It’s not just natural and compostable - it’s incredibly and unimaginably eco friendly, super carbon negative, has positive effects on people’s lives, and morally such a positive yearly habit (/ritual/tradition) that instantly cures depression & guarantees the best afterlife (or no afterlife for those who had enough).

I just imagine driving past this sign on the way to a vacation spot with kids screaming in the car and just realising you forgot about the broken tent pole from the last trip that you meant to replace before this one, then the fuel blinker comes on just as you spill your drink on the dash because a toy got thrown at you. You see this sign as you drive by and it triggers something inside you, like a gaping maw opening to consume the last shred of humanity you have left as you resign yourself to a fate you still can’t figure out if you chose, or was imposed upon you by the chance circumstances of your life.

Maybe because the price of groceries and rent has gone up so much that there’s nothing left for anything else? I thought when the price of foods starts going up, that’s when societies typically start seeing riots as people are basically at the end of their rope at that point.
Man they really tried telling us that rent or mortgage should only be 30% of your monthly income if you have a really nice place and then turned around and got confused that we are complaining that even if you make $100,000 in most cities that still puts rent near 50% of your take home paycheck.
And now food is taking up more of the rest of a paycheck. But hey we just complain to much as the younger generations I guess because there is never anything to fix. It’s all perfect except for brown people or lesbians or some shit.
But the prices aren’t impossible yet and people aren’t starving just not eating well.
