I just looked at my weather app (Today Weather), and the report of the current temperature varies by 6°F depending on which data set I choose. I go with the National Weather Service (federal govt).
As far as predicting precipitation, the radar seems pretty good for the next few hours. I press play on it, and it tells me what it thinks the radar will look like for the next 7 hours in 15 mins increments.
I think that predicting the weather beyond a day gets pretty difficult because the weather is too chaotic. The best they can do is to gather data from local weather stations and see how often it rained when they had these same data in the past. So basically, it’s like saying, “When the temp has been 85°F, humidity 62%, wind from WNW at 5 kts, pressure at 1016 mBar, and the date was July 29, it rained 6 times out of 10.”
I mean there are dozens of us here 😆. But seriously, I know I’m not as stoked about the new seasons, it’s just not the same. It’s a bit weird seeing the resurrected corpse of one of your favorite shows stumbling around and repeating jokes it used to tell.
Fair enough. But I dont know if I’d compare it to a resurrected corpse. The gang is mostly intact, they’re still trying to make a good show, it’s just not fueled by the same fresh, youthful inspiration it once was.
I liked the last season for the most part, but the episodes were very hit or miss. And I feel like this one was another miss. Hopefully the other episodes will be better.
Someone gifted me a really cool set of erlenmeyer and beaker glasses and cups. They look great, and drinking from them actually makes me physically nauseous. Even seeing other people drink from them makes me uneasy.
I could not keep this drink down no matter how tasty it is.
I’m a nurse. We usually recommend at least 350 calories, but ideally with a meal, but it also depends on the medication. For some, it’s to slow how quickly the medication is absorbed and/or reduce side effects, and isn’t necessary for the medication to work (e.g., stimulants, some antidepressants). For others, taking with food is necessary for the medication to be absorbed effectively so that it works (e.g., Latuda, used to treat mood and psychotic disorders).
I agree with all of the other great games others have mentioned, but I really love the first level of rocket. It’s your typical platformer, except it has a physics engine, so when you throw things, they might bounce in fun ways, and there is this dune buggy that you get to drive that bounces off the sand dunes in ways that releases a lot of seratonin in my brain.
Metal Gear Solid is one of my favorite games of all time, followed closely by 2 and 3. It really is an incredibly timeless piece of art in my opinion, just filled to the brim with incredible moments.
Sons of Liberty was my first experience of the MGS series and I really enjoyed it. Absolutely off the wall parody of military games in the absolute best way.
Yeah but going through your partners phone without consent is a breach of trust and asking to go through their phone only happens once you suspect something. I’d say texting makes cheating easier to hide but also easier to prove
I’m pretty sure Fargo is actually harsher than Anchorage. It’s so coastal that it’s not as cold as you might imagine.
If you’re talking about eastern Alaska, I can answer from a Canadian perspective, because the same stuff continues across the border (for a much larger area). Most people are native, plumbing has to go over the ground, roads are sometimes limited to the cold season or even non-existant. Lots of poverty, because that shit is all expensive, and traditional hunting plays a big role in livelihoods, just with skidoos/snow machines and rifles now. The biggest communities are still small or even tiny, and if it’s above the arctic circle people might not schedule their days the same, so you’ll see kids playing soccer in the sun at 2 AM.
As an Uber driver, I do everything I can to put people at ease. I end up in many deep, heartfelt conversations with my passengers. I introduce people to new music, and spread information about homeless assistance programs and other resources around the Denver area.
Uber is the platform from which I do my work as a community supporter.
I do Uber my own way, according to my vision. I am an Uber Mensch.
