Cloudflare has an api for easy dynamic dns. I use oznu/docker-cloudflare-ddns to manage this, it’s super easy:

<span style="color:#323232;">docker run
</span><span style="color:#323232;">  -e API_KEY=xxxxxxx
</span><span style="color:#323232;">  -e ZONE=example.com
</span><span style="color:#323232;">  -e SUBDOMAIN=subdomain
</span><span style="color:#323232;">  oznu/cloudflare-ddns
</span>

Then I just make a CNAME for each of my public facing services to point to ‘subdomain.example.com’ and use a reverse proxy to get incoming traffic to the right service.

is it as bad as season 11?

Lizardking27 OP ,

I’d say “not quite.”

(Slight spoilers ahead)

The A plot involves NFTs which was pretty lame.

But the B plot involved Bender returning to Mexico and reconnecting with his roots, which wasn’t bad, mainly because it didn’t depend on pop culture references. Danny Trejo was pretty good as a guest star.

(Spoiler end)

I think the reason the pop culture references seem so tired now is because our lives are filled with people making fun of pop culture on social media/the internet. All the NFT jokes have been made already, like a year ago. The writers need to stick to original, engaging plots that don’t rely on criticizing pop culture or rehashing old plotlines.

@Tiocfaidhcaisarla@hexbear.net avatar

Been working summers up here last couple years. Highs never quite hit 70. 50s pretty frequent, sudden to 40s or high 30s at night. Though I rarely see that because the sun is still up when I tend to go to sleep. So blackout curtains are a must. Rains a lot. A lot of fishing and hunting, charter boats, cruises, excursions. All expensive if you’re not doing it yourself, which without experience your can’t or shouldn’t. Need to keep a lookout for moose while outside. I’m in a small tourist town, locals range from hippies to chuds, tourists suck but where I make my money. Lots of cars have a plug sticking out the grill to hookup a heater in winter. I can’t imagine doing winter here. Incredibly beautiful, huge mountains next to ocean, vast wilderness and wildlife, but I don’t much care for the culture here, I don’t think I’ll be back but to visit in the future. Oh, and mosquitos. I’m lucky where I am but they are a plague elsewhere. I just get hit with dead fish smells all the time. Older buildings (rare to see things more than 50 years old) are charming wood structures. New ones surprisingly boxy and seem like they’d accumulate so much snow. A lot of Trump flags.

Does anyone here know what’s in this drink? I tried a Google but only found other petridish-like cocktails and shooters that pale by comparison.

anomoly_ ,

looks like the recipe is here

edit: or not. the image matches but, after actually paying attention to the recipe, I’m not sure that sounds right.

Duranie ,

No, it sounds right. There’s matcha, but with the acid from the lemonade curdling the milk, it’s used to clump shit together so that the drink can be filtered and clarified. I’ve never tried it, but I’ve seen the technique used a number of times.

zalgotext ,

Yeah same concept as a milk-washed cocktail, which cuts down on the bitter/astringent flavors in liquor. Works really well, I bet this drink would be delicious

cheesymoonshadow ,
@cheesymoonshadow@lemmings.world avatar

Wow, you all are amazing. Thanks.

funbreaker ,

Would lactose-intolerant people be able to drink this or is enough milk left behind that it would cause issues?

zalgotext ,

I don’t know enough about the chemistry going on to give you a confident answer. I assume not though - I don’t think curdling milk gets rid of all the lactose, and since you’re essentially using curdled milk as a filter with this technique, I wouldn’t be surprised if a non-zero amount of lactose made it’s way through the filter. I’d have to do some actual research to know for sure though.

funbreaker ,

I appreciate you taking the time to answer! An honest “I don’t know” is still very helpful.

Hmm. It’s not a perfect way of measuring source bias, and bias is only correlated with truthfulness as I think they themselves admit, but I applaud the spirit.

I worry that people will put too much stock in it’s assessment, and as far as I can tell propaganda posting is already pretty controlled, on .world specifically. Did you code this yourselves? Is there some way one of us could request to push to the source, like if I figure out some way it could be better? In particular, it would be good to add notes on the specific sources commenters have described as having issues not covered by MBFC.

Rooki OP ,

Currently the code is for now private. We will see if we can make it public in the future. The mods wont moderate posts because of the MBFC result.

My ex wife prefered snap chat.

So you know, I just happened to get traumatized by another dudes dick in my wife’s phone after her nude photos I’ve never seen. I don’t know who he was other than her admitting it was a guy she cheated on me with 5 years ago.

No I’m not over it. Its been over a year, and because of the toxic nature of our relationship I don’t have confidence to go out there and meet other people. It’s fine, I’m fine. I’ve got video games and a shower to cry in.

But fuck smartphones. I hate this goddamn technology more than I hate my ex.

dharmacurious , to showerthoughts in There should be a semicolon punctuation for exclamation and question marks.

¿Perhaps something like this: 1000010473?

olafurp , (edited )

Out of all the additions to punctuation I’ve seen this is the one I find myself needing most often. Interrobangs are easily written as “?!” and even most other ones can be quick fixed with storytelling like “said lovingly”, “said with authority” and whatnot.

But “Is that the best, or is it just what we have?” is an absolutely horrible thing to write punctuation for when you mean it as two connected questions like “Is that the best? Or is it just what we have?”

It should obviously be replaced with a question comma. There are so many cases where you also have the question in the middle of the sentence such as “Is that okay (question comma) because I don’t think so…”

dharmacurious ,

I’ve thought the same thing many times. I love interrobang (not least of which for it’s kickass name), but the same sentiment can be expressed in other ways. Dialogue can convey the others, but if you want to recreate the way humans actually speak English, you need a mid sentence punctuation, like a comma, that can express questioning. Even in speech, we change our intonation to be higher when questioning, and we do that sometimes in the middle of a sentence. It’s just not conveyable perfectly with our current set of symbols.

HEXN3T OP ,
@HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

Exactly this. If you know what a semicolon and question mark/exclamation point’s purpose is, then you know how this punctuation works. The best tool is that which requires no manual at all. Occam’s Razor, or something along those lines.

dharmacurious ,

¡It’s immediately, perfectly understandable! :k
