You can get your own health insurance. Its called market place insurance. Most use their employers health insurance, but that option exists. And theres no “enrollment period”
Yes. With employment insurance, your employer pays a large chunk of it, its called benefits for a reason. Like 401k matching, if you dont use it, youre leaving money on the table
My angle is to paid the most. If we let the person we are negotiating with to define all the terms and conditions, then there is not much room to ask for more.
Unfortunately a lot of americans are out of touch with how bad a large percentage of our population live. “It’s not a problem until it effects me” should be on our currency.
Imagine how much more money you’d make grinding your life away instead of hanging out here with us losers. Hell, you should be charging for your advice here, no need to give it away for free!
Those things are a joke, have you ever been on Medicare? It’s terrible and are still strangled by private insurances at every turn.
A few years ago, it was calculated that moving to a single-payer healthcare system and abolishing private healthcare would, at worst, increase an individuals tax to like <$1000/yr
I have a fairly decent employer provided insurance and even then it’s still 500+ a MONTH in just premiums. Before even factoring in other private insurance bullshit like copays and out of pockets and a myriad of other fees and gotchas, I’ll exceed that 1000 tax bill in like 2 months.
Even if you’re a selfish conservative asshole, it would save you so much money as well.
But sure, keep listening spouting the rich elite propaganda, you’re just a temporarily embarrassed billionaire after all.
True story: Taco John’s, a mexican fast food place in parts of the USA. Dude in front ordered two “6-packs and a pound” which is a total of 12 tacos and 2lbs of fried potatoes. Dine-in, then ordered a diet coke. dude sat down and started his mission while we took our nearly same order for 3 people to go (we didn’t order any diet coke).
I am having a hard time following everything happening here. What is all this about hotspots and your neighbor’s router? Do you not own a wifi router? Most wifi routers will also have ethernet connections on the back. I apologize for not understanding. Edit: I am guessing by “I do not have a lan line” you mean that you do not have a working internet connection at all at home? I am confused as to how you intend to run a server permanently over a phone hotspot.
My one thought is: have you gone into your router and reserved a static internal IP on your LAN? (e.g. 192.168.0.##)? Often servers and things will lose communication if their internal IP changes and your devices cannot find them.
Also, if you are porting out onto the public internet, are you using something like a dynamic DNS so that your devices can route to your public IP? your public IP will be constantly changing, so you need some way for your devices to find it.
queer phobic. I’m not queer but many of my friends are. I don’t need that negativity in my life.
smoker. Maybe a pass if they are actively trying to quit. Maybe. Most active smokers I’ve known have kind of been assholes about it, though.
littering. Sometimes combined with the above when smokers throw their butts on the ground
being a jerk about people having healthy hobbies. Like, just let someone enjoy some video games or bird watching or whatever. I can’t with people who are like “omg that’s so childish you still [play games/read fiction/go to the zoo/whatever]?”.
being anti-consent. I’ve met a few women who are like “just do stuff and I’ll tell you if I don’t like it” and I’m like lady there’s some “stuff” that can be done that by the time it’s happening , the damage is done. Let’s just have a conversation about what we like and what our boundaries are.
I was going out with this guy I really liked. Probably 3rd or 4th date. We decided to take a drive, and went to a local grist mill. Walked around, had a nice time. Took the scenic route home on this road that ran along a pristine Tennessee Creek. He was drinking a Gatorade or something, and when he finished it, rolled down the window and chucked the bottle out into the creek.
I stopped the car, made him go pick it up (or I wasn’t going to drive him the 20+ miles home), and never called him again. Fuck. That. Behavior.
I just think it’s odd that you immediately associate smoking with being an asshole - unless they’re quitting. Like you make it very clear that personal agency is important to you - but smoking makes you a piece of shit.
i don’t think being a smoker necessarily makes you an a*shole, but surely makes other people live with the smell and the taste of tobacco. and you can’t force people to do that.
I make it a point to not discuss things like this when people aren’t thinking clearly.
When you smoke a cigarette the smoke doesn’t automatically find the nearest non-smokers lungs in order to harm them. The smoke settles, and there are more than enough places far enough away from people to smoke at.
If you’re worried about secondhand smoke harming you in any context outside of smoking indoors - I’m sorry but you just aren’t thinking clearly.
These people are under the impression that secondhand smoke is sentient and immediately finds the nearest non-smokers lungs to pollute. I wouldn’t expect logic to get through to them.
It’s fine to not be into whatever you want. If I said I wasn’t into Asians, that wouldn’t make me a racist. (I am, for the record, same as I’m into boys of every other nationality, but if I wasn’t it would still be a personal preference.)
You don’t need pulseaudio and pipewire at the same time because pipewire provides pulseaudio-compatible server (pipewire-pulse). Also, pipewire usually doesn’t require audio group. Did you follow the official docs or other online guide?
Are there aspects of the game that still offer value or enjoyment
I like the core D2 experience as much as I always have. The gunplay is great, the abilities and build crafting is great, the vibes and graphics and soundtrack are excellent.
The current season is kinda eh but they always put the weakest season they have lined up first because it launches at the same time as the campaign. The current season is more substantial than previous first seasons though, which is good since they are doing 3 seasons per year instead of 4 this time.
The main plot line is finished but there are still sub-plots that need to be resolved. Xivu is not fully defeated. We need to come to a more long-term arrangement with Savathun. (The Xivu-Savathun plot is going to be touched on later this year). Some sort of Vex alliance is long overdue. With the bigger threats out of the way, it would be neat to help the Eliksni and Cabal retake their home planets. Clovis could be a full villain any time now. Plus they are trying to sow the seeds for the new plots down the line with their “traveler/witness demise led to magic seeds being shot into space”. Plus they should answer more details about the fallout after the events of TFS.
All that being said, the main reason I’m still playing is simply because I bought the campaign + season pass combo just like I did for the past 5 years, and I intend to play the content I paid for. However there is a good chance I won’t pay for next year’s pass. There is a lot of potential left in the Destiny IP but the current state of Bungie will have to prove they can still tap into it.
It’s also worth mentioning that I’ve definitely been playing less of it lately than I used to.
