Pixel phones have been too big for me for a while. They won’t fit in my pockets comfortably and I don’t want to have to stretch to reach the top of the screen. Come out with something 5.75" tall or less and I’ll re-engage.
No …He’ll no. That’s spam. Some of those newsletters likely come from unscrupulous sources that will instead use the “Unsubscribe” link as an engagement metric that confirms your email account is still active so they can bombard you with even more spam. You’re just doing your part at keeping the spam filter up-to-date
A human (pictured, right) outrunning the flesh-starved, reanimated corpses that we all see when we close our eyes for too long. Keep it up, human! They lack the necessary supportive tissues to sustain bipedal movement! You can beat them!
There’s a couple of different ways to think about this. When I was younger, I thought it so unfair that gay people couldn’t get married, and I didn’t know any mixed race marriages in my parents friends or my friends parents; women were still sort of oppressed, there wasn’t great birth control even.
So I guess conservatives didn’t have much to complain about; there were still scary rednecks around but that didn’t feel political.
A lot of these things have been fixed now, but the people who saw the discrimination of the past as some sort of natural order are complaining about it.
So there were protests and all throughout my life but until recently they were people wanting progress, to fix inequality and discrimination.
Now that a lot of these things are mainstream accepted A-OK, the conservatives think it’s time for the pendulum to swing back, but that doesn’t make sense to most of us. I do have plenty of friends who are like that but we can’t debate politics, it’s not any nicer than online. Outside of the wacko beliefs they are fine, we connect in other ways around things we agree on and all of the kids are progressive so I think it’s a limited time problem.
Well, all of ours are. And at least there isn’t the tacit acceptance of ‘how it is’ so much anymore. I just always take comfort in the fact that the 3 men over 50 and 1 grandma may be voting regressive but me and 13 more offset them, between our kids and their partners. Plus one other grandma.
I always choose hardcover. I try to keep the number of my owned physical books low. So when I do buy it, I want my eyes to be satisfied and they prefer the looks of hardcover. Since I usually buy secondhand books, overall it’s very cheap (although I don’t have high standards on the book’s condition).
i2p and Tor are really slow + the amount of people who use them are small compared to the clearnet and also a lot of those websites have ads on their website which would not work on i2p or Tor , so it does not make any sense to host it there.
Same. I have come to trust Apple’s commitment and attitude towards user privacy substantially more than Google. I actually know a person that works in a fairly high middle management position in a technical department at the fruit company, and he told me that even their internal handling of user data is incredibly restrictive, even when it makes their jobs harder. I don’t think Apple is perfect, but better than the alternative.
Apple is a locked in ecosystem what is based entirely on proprietary software. I’m not sure how that is good for privacy. They can and are collecting your data. You also can’t get apps outside of the App store which limits your options.
AOSP based Android Like Lineage OS is the only way.
What a dumbass edit. It’s probably because “ok?” Adds literally nothing and you could’ve just said nothing instead. But noooo must be fanboys down voting you right? 🙄
