I’d settle for admonish. I’m tired of slammed

CheeryLBottom ,

The magpies in my yard like to congregate and the juveniles like to play on our lawn chairs and have conversations between themselves

CheeryLBottom ,

Don’t forget the drivers who learned English from listening to Howard Cosell :D

CheeryLBottom ,

Oh, same here! Don’t forget mom’s cooking or Ricky’s mom blowing up hahaha

CheeryLBottom ,

It had been a long time since I’ve watched that :)

CheeryLBottom ,

I want the music like Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure, The Smiths…

I’m currently reading “Very Good, Jeeves”. I like to mix in light books before I decide to tackle something heavier

Any good games that break the mold

It feels like new games are just more of the same, with no real meaning. However I recently started playing “Return of the Obra Dihn” and love open ended deduction in it. It feels like I’m actually figuring things out by myself without being handheld through it. Are there any other games that don’t coddle the player that...

CheeryLBottom ,

I have those. I haven’t gotten to them yet, but it is great to see someone who actually played them and enjoyed them

CheeryLBottom ,

It has been a while since I’ve seen that!

CheeryLBottom ,

Titan Quest is the game I go to when I don’t know what to play. So satisfying

CheeryLBottom ,

I’m partial to Ankh-Morpork and the City Watch for some reason ;)

CheeryLBottom ,

It reminds me of the leg of someone who did a bike race. I saw a pic, but I may be wrong

My dog’s name is Ponder*, but I don’t think he has a brain cell inside of his head ;)

*Named after a Terry Pratchett Discworld character

CheeryLBottom ,

I never knew about Unsinkable Sam until Divinity: Original Sin. Thank you Larian for the trivia :)

CheeryLBottom ,

I’m printing this out. I have for young adults who can’t grab the concept, but they understand D&D

After finishing Pillars of Eternity (I even backed it haha) in the Fall, I decided to replay (played twice back in the day) Baldur’s Gate II, but after paying off the Shadow Thieves, I decided to play Pillars of Eternity 2, to put a dent in my other RPG’s that have been piling up. I have to make room for Baldur’s Gate 3 and soon to be released Avowed.

Oh and Age of Mythology: Reborn. The original was like crack to me

Is Arcanum worth playing?

I played a little of it when I first got it, but then I heard that it’s better to patch it. So I joined the discord for it and figured I’d look into that later. Well later turned into years, eventually I left the discord server to make space for other servers and never did wind up going back to Arcanum....

CheeryLBottom ,

I loved this game. Boomerang and dog ftw!

What games do you recommend for my girlfriend?

My girlfriend has never really gamed. But she’s now forced to move less than she would like to (health problem) and she’s getting bored. I was thinking of introducing her to a game or two that we could play together. She’s not the real action game type, and seeing as she has no experience with controller/mouse and keyboard...

I was going to suggest Adventure games too. Games like the Broken Series series, Sam and Max games, Sherlock Holmes and a large variety of puzzle games like Machinarium. There is a huge selection to choose from. A lot of them tell stories, are humorous and engaging

CheeryLBottom ,

That murder has stayed with me all of these years.

CheeryLBottom ,

I was thinking the same thing! Our packages are always getting delivered to a Rise, Place, etc

CheeryLBottom ,

Gobliiins! I loved that game. I did buy it off gog to play again because it had been many years.

CheeryLBottom ,

Legend of Zelda back in 1989

CheeryLBottom ,

I’ve read all of them, but the Watch books are my favorite (as you can see).

CheeryLBottom ,

My only claim is that I have my original 1973 copy. I managed to drag that around for many years

My dishes are spotless after using Beagle Wash
