EDIT: I don’t think I conveyed what I meant well enough in the post. I was talking about something like, say, reading. It’s my favorite hobby. If I was forced to never read again, I’d be absolutely miserable. But if I completely forgot about reading, there wouldn’t exactly be anything to miss.

Today I decided to get an inexpensive custom domain from Namecheap and try self-hosting Lemmy. A few bucks later I was thinking, “Hey, this is going to be cake.”...

Hey! So, TL;DR, we’ve been putting in a lot of work to make a podcast for the Fediverse, to go along with our news articles. There’s just so much cool stuff happening, and we feel that a podcast format can capture aspects of this that regular articles can’t....

I was trying to watch konosuba on crunchyroll and when i opened it on my brave a pop up showed up that i need to have some drm software and whetewer i allow it. i did clik allow and it didint work either way so i watched it on Firefox and there is a thing saying that this thing is drm protected....

So, Lemmy is sometime missing content. I don’t regret switching from Reddit to Lemmy but, expecially for niche communities, the content isn’t always here....

The fire alarm system at my house is handled entirely by our property manager as it is semi-attached housing, so we have a centralised fire panel for all the houses. We only have two hockey puck shaped sensors on the ceiling of our house, one on each floor, and that’s it in terms of safety sensors. We have gas fired appliances...

I don’t know who greenlit this supposed celebration of TAS, but the writing is cheap, lowbrow and cringey. It’s a total shame that the amazing animation and sound design are paired with this quality of writing. None of the three eps released so far impressed me....
