Good morning everyone, we noticed that feddit.de has been unreachable since last night (server error). But how come I from Mastodon or Lemmy.ml can find some messages published this morning? Maybe the problem is only with the web server? While can you still connect via the app?
Can anyone give me an explanation?
The front-end is pretty much broken since a few months and there seems to be no admin with either the knowledge, the permissions, or the time to fix it. Federation seems to work, though. As well as the API for apps, but all, most, a lot of feddit.de communities moved to feddit.org with same name.
i'm yet another #ActuallyAutistic#trans lady on Mastodon! i'm an aspiring writer, musician, and digital swer, but not in that order. i rarely know what i'm doing and i think (hope) that's where i get my charm. i mostly just post about the #books, #crochet, #JigsawPuzzles, and hopefully some cute pics.
i'm also in my witch era right now, so i might offer some free (and likely very inaccurate) #astrology / #tarot readings when the mood strikes 💜
@pathfinder@actuallyautistic I've definitely seen people get confused by it, but I've been around the autistic internet long enough to remember how the hashtag got started 😅. thank you for checking that i knew though 😊
#British#diplomacy in a narrow sense first existed from the 18th century onwards, after the #ActOfTheUnion in 1707.
During the 17th century British diplomatic activities expanded and British #emdiplomats were considered to conduct ad hoc diplomatic negotiations at foreign #courts, although lacking clearly defined professional boundaries and assignments or institutional structures. At the same time, British #emdiplomacy commenced building networks of resident #amabassadors and agents who among other tasks gathered information, shaped amicable relations to their hosts and represented and protected British commercial interests. 18th century #British#emdiplomacy faced self-made hurdles. The personnel for example were British upper classes who could meet the requirements for ceremonial knowledge, but were not trained in international relations or the duties of #emdiplomats in particular. Thus, while European #diplomacy became increasingly professionalised, British diplomacy remained stuck in an increasingly outmoded understanding of ceremonial and social capital. (6/6)
#booksuggestions anybody know of some novels or series with themes including the good side of humanity? I really like #StarTrek for that, where the human heart is challenged yet prevails.
Not necessarily looking for Sci-Fi but not excluding it either. Maybe something historical or steampunky would be cool. 😅
@picklejr@books@books@bookstodon I really like #TheOrville for that. I think they went really far but beware that even if it starts as a comedy, it gets really serious and deep towards the end
I have just watched the 1st episode of A Kind of Spark thanks to @PetitPas
It’s a Irish British American Canadian series. In Canada I’m watching it on CBC Gem, in the UK it seems to be on the CBBC channel, for the others countries I don’t know.
I like it because the 3 autistic sisters are played by autistic actors, use of the words autistic, masking, meltdown. etc. Shows sensory overload, etc., ignorance and bias.
@adelinej@actuallyautistic oh US, I used to be a kind of a bad consumer of less then licensed goods mostly movies and music books on demand until I had a run in w some malware, particularly nasty, I blame that so I swore off content pretty much unless I really want to watch it. I just was thinking of trying an episode just to try it out .
Haha, so, fun times: my land people are selling my house. I have the option to buy it, but because my chronically ill arse can no longer work, no one is gonna give me a mortgage. Rents are about £150 more expensive than what I'm currently paying.
I'm exploring options, but now would be a really great time to buy one of my books, purchase some of my art, or sign up for my Patreon.
Unfortunately, I am still pretty sick, so can't do much at the moment, but will add links below this to my stuff.
Join my Patreon for semi-regular smutty art and stories in the genres of fantasy, SF, and weird.
Some content is available to everyone and you can sign up for a nominal amount just to be supportive, but Devotees also get access to restricted content and previews of works in progress!
"Iran received messages from mediators to let the regime do a symbolic strike to save face, asked Iran not to retaliate,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed to The Cradle
"Iran has received messages from mediators to let the regime do a symbolic strike to save face and asked Iran not to retaliate,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed to The Cradle.
He added that Tehran “outright rejected” the proposal, delivered by mediators, and reiterated warnings that any Israeli attack on Iranian soil would be met with a decisive and immediate response.
The reply was delivered directly to the Swiss envoy in Tehran by officials from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and not the foreign ministry. According to The Cradle’s source, the decision for the IRGC to reply directly was meant “to send a strong warning to the US.”
“Iran successfully embarrassed all of the integrated radar network and anti-missile systems of the US and the [Israeli] regime. The US even activated its parked satellites over the region to do maximum protection and failed miserably,” the Iranian military official added.
The revelations come as US defense officials have told western media that they expect a “limited response” from Israel against Iran, which will reportedly focus on targets outside of Iranian territory.
Nevertheless, US officials stressed that Tel Aviv had not briefed the Pentagon on a “final decision” as discussions within Israel’s fractured war cabinet continued.
“The US does not intend to take part in the military response,” they confirmed. However, they expect Israel to inform Washington about response plans in advance.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani told state TV on Monday night that Tehran’s response to any Israeli retaliation would come in “a matter of seconds, as Iran will not wait for another 12 days to respond.”
@TropicalDingdong I actually just added a gazebo in the form of an Mbin account for this one yes. Edited that because ironic Alex Jones vibe seemed off
@the_white_wolf You don't have to apologize for being wrong. Even though I don't appreciate you telling me how I'm feeling especially since you know nothing about me.
However, I do sincerely apologize for not reading past that first sentence. Take care.
I hear you! Due to their greed, bland games, push for people to use Ubisoft Connect and subscriptions; I am a screw Ubisoft kind of person these days. I have some of their old games, but I can't be arsed to own any of their newer titles unless it's a DEEP sale. Like less than 10 dollars after tax. Ubisoft is contributing to the enshittification of games (along with Capcom, EA, Activision Blizzard) so supporting them consistently is not going to happen as it's just me asking to be punished via their greed.

@littlebluespark A gatlin sentry is a great addition to this toolkit! I'm a fan of the Gatlin Barrage and the Orbital Airburst myself! I am the sentry!
