Nah, there are not enough cops in the USA to arrest us all. The ratio of population to police is overwhelmingly vast. For every 1000 Americans there are only 2 or 3 police.
I’m not one for conspiracies or whatever, but I do worry about escalation. I’m not worried too much about the cops themselves, most of them are just bullies and not that bright. I’m worried about who the government sends when the cops can’t contain a situation.

Edit: I hadn’t looked into the site, but I figured from the post above they were some right leaning rage bait site. I figure people like that seeing police brutality first hand wouldn’t be a horrible thing for the world. That said, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

I don't see how the outlet she represents is relevant at all. The cops shouldn't be violently arresting peaceful protesters, and they should not be violently arresting people with press credentials for pointing their camera in what they consider to be the wrong direction.
She has NYC press credentials, she's press. It doesn't matter that she's not from your personal favourite newspaper.
This smells just as disingenuous as American politicians that want to cut off TikTok because they don’t like American citizens having a source of news they can’t control.

When the war with Ukraine started, people in Russia went to protest it. Thousands were arrested on day one. No one remembers that now and it wasn’t reported much in the West.

But now we’ve stood aside as we got things like State-defined rules for having proper unobtrusive protests, and unions that must be “authorized” and promise not to get in the way too much, binding arbitration without a right to a jury trial, and police shove and beat journalists while a loud chunk of the population says “He must’ve had a good reason! What’d you do?”

It was in my head because recently I had to send like 4 “Oh no you don’t” emails to like 4 or 5 companies that tried to pull that with a little ToS edit. It seems to be all the rage these days. :(
There’s a bunch of videos on Twitter/X showing how they pushed her into that position, turned her around, and hauled her off before cuffing her and detaining her. She was thankfully released later, but this is just far too much. All of it is.
Not even. One police officer decides your sus while you’re armed and that’s it. They’re allowed to execute you on the spot. That’s not a right, that’s a privilege with a death sentence for anyone who mistakes themselves as part of the privileged class.
Yes but 80% of the time they cite their belief someone had a gun. To the point that once a gun is found at the scene everyone tunes out. (Other made up offenses include having a knife and having nothing but walking toward them)
Which brings us back to the point of a gun being an excuse to execute you on the spot. Which also means you don’t actually have a 2nd amendment right. Rights that you only technically have, aren’t actually extant.
It’s okay though, we don’t actually have any of the rights from Amendments 1-8. So it’s not unusual for the second amendment to only technically exist either.
And the companies who sell the corn syrup foods are free to use all that money to influence politicians. Um… I mean…pay lobbyists, or become a super PAC or something that’s technically not corruption.

Those are “de-escalation devices”. First, you beat them with thing 1. If that doesn’t calm them down, you stun them with thing 2. If they are still not calm, you shoot them with thing 3. Repeat until America great again.
I studied all that stuff because I briefly wanted to be a cop while my brain was still forming. That all went away once I started hanging out and talking with cops.
