In the last two years Michigan has gone from being on shaky ground politically to being a stronghold for human rights and rejecting garbage. Now that Ohio is following suit with codifying abortion rights and legalizing recreational cannabis… Great Lakes region is stepping up!
Fingers crossed idiot republicans don’t try to undo the will of the people.
Absolutely brutal and completely unnecessary at that. The level of risk to everyone on that highway was never gonna be worth it just to catch some migrants.
Arch is great for people with a very extensive knowledge about the entire system, or for masochists. One wrong command and the whole thing catches on fire.
Respect for those who know how to use it and are not assholes about it, though.
In my experience once you get it set up arch isn’t that bad. I can only really remember one time it really broke and that was when my laptop ran out of battery during a kernel upgrade (I know I should have had it configured to keep multiple kernels but for some reason I didn’t). I’m using opensuse a lot more recently though and it definitely is easier, just not by like an insane amount
Getting Arch set up from scratch is a great learning experience. I recommend everyone to at least try to install it once properly, you’ll definitely come away with a better understanding of the system.
2040 being 100%. It is a start. Don’t fight the small wins, encourage/clap for them and hopefully they will start to pile up. Make sure they know signing better bills get you votes, maybe we will eventually have good candidates and actual changes
This actually happened before the current conflict, it’s a good read, it tell one small part of a story on how Israel have a tight grip toward any conversation toward the state.
I know, but apartheid in Israel did not just start now. It’s been going on since forever. They can deny all they want, but they keep telling on themselves. Mostly unintentional of course, but admitting regardless.
Not really tho, as Israel as a nation didn’t exist until 1948 … a mere 75 years ago. And in the beginning it was not powerful, nor able to withstand incursions from surrounding nations who didn’t want Israel to exist.
Since then it has garnered the unwaivering support of the most powerful nation on earth and has become like the brutal spoiled child, demanding everything and doing whatever it must to get it.
Not to be pedantic here, but it did start in 1948 … because before that there had been no Jewish state for almost 2000 years, after Rome destroyed the Second Temple in 70 AD and the Diaspora began.
It started before 1948 even, because although Israel was officially not a state until then, there was turmoil because of people moving there and wanting to start their state on occupied land. If you look at the history there was unrest around WWI already. It just escalated after 1948 because the west legitimized the existence of Israel.
Sorry, I should have been more clear; the actual apartheid started with the creation of the state of Israel (of course). The unrest, suppression, stealing of land and property, and discrimination of people started way before.
So I looked into it, it's NOT health insurance. It's just access to use your health insurance at their video doctors and offices (mostly in major cities). The $9pm is to cover their admin because insurance won't.
My PCP already has a pretty good portal, and I've not had any issues getting prescriptions filled, why would I pay extra for access when everyone else gives that for free?
