I remember texting chacha if every rose has its thorn, to which they would respond that according to the 1988 song released by Poison, every rose does have its thorn.

I can’t remember so many things from that part of my life, why that stuck, no idea.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

I wasn’t born till 89, so not my era either. But music comes from all eras. I think I spent half yesterday with Ain’t No Sunshine stuck in my head. That was 71? I think

2 validations in a row. It’s 9:41am here. It’s going to be a good day. I hope you have a great one as well!

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Well they have no reason to delete them as they “own” the copy they have. They just need to take them offline until they get through the appeal or lose and have to keep them on a p2p torrent aspect instead of through their site. That sucks

I’m not sure where your sister lives, but I don’t think she’s not going to call the police if I walked into her living room with my shoes on. They’d probably get me for trespassing or breaking and entering. /S

I know what you mean about the sneaking food into theaters. They’d just ask you to throw it away /put it in your car / or just leave. Source: first job was a theater. Now if you refused, it would likely be an officer that throws you out on a Friday/Saturday as they hired off duty officers to be around those nights for security purposes. Used to keep the K9 for the K9 units in the birthday room because we felt bad they would leave them in the running car all night in Central Florida. Surprised a few employees when they went to grab something and were startled by a happy go lucky Shepherd/Malamute.

They were very on or off duty dogs. In the car, work mode, and ready to go to war. In the birthday party room, you better be ready for pets and snuggles.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

They sprayed cornstarch on them, both piss and Taco Bell would be far worse. It is just about getting attention to people actually destroying the world, while not destroying anything. It would be cheaper and much easier to buy spray paint than to right cornstarch into a sprayable device… But that would cause damage, which they didn’t want.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

They blocked ambulances to what? The stones? Feel like I just went /whoosh

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

… So different people, different area and I am supposed to know what incident you are talking about, got it. Care to point to the incident or should we just throw everyone in jail that supports a group that did something wrong? Seems like that would violate a lot of human rights. But if you want to start with a group, let’s start with MAGA, they have promoted how many unconstitutional proposals and acts that went through before federal judges having to turn them down. Throw in the attacks on people… They’d be screwed. Every one of them is guilty of stealing personal information from hospitals, yikes.

The issue here was cornstarch on rocks. You are talking about things further than clouds in the sky

LifeInMultipleChoice , (edited )

So can you show me where these two people blocked ambulances or is your strawmen still feeding your calling out strawmen?

Yes the misdirection calling out your misdirection was indeed misdirection.

“They blocked ambulances”. Evidence these people blocked ambulances or you are guilty of everything you are defending with. It better be these 2 people as well… Or you are slandering those people. : )

Edit: Oh and for the record, I looked it up. It was about 30x farther than the clouds, and not them.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

…what?

Edit: I’m confused by the rage, what are you on about? That someone didn’t do what you accused them of so you slandered someone? … I don’t get it. Get a life and stay out of others mate

This reminds me of the description of why field positions are listed under remote jobs to often. Yes, the reason I was searching for remote jobs was so I can travel to your remote locations all throughout the day, not because my vehicle has 230,000 miles on it and I can’t afford to replace it at the moment.

Destruction of property is what you’d get hit with. Could be best to turn it into a project to show how the state/representatives violates each commandment, post those answers next to all the commandments and keep posting those to media until they realize how many of the commandments they don’t agree with. And shouldn’t be posting.

I don’t think being cringe really exists when it comes to kids. They are developing into who they are/will be.

Adults on the other hand like myself I could say can be, because we are supposed to(according to culture) have figured out who we are, so when we do something out of place it is an attention seeking act that went poorly often times. So when I say a bad joke, I can come across as cringy, or even me trying to explain myself here can come across as cringy. But kids, we need to cut them a lot more slack. We shouldn’t be punching down on adults either, but if we start by supporting those kids finding themselves maybe it’ll grow with time and eventually maybe anyone can say something dumb and not feel like they should shove their head in the sand, but rather feel safe in their own insecurity and be supported by people around them.

Love for those feeling insecure may be the change they needed to not lash out negatively, whether against themselves or others.

Religion murdered these people.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

So let me ask you. When some Russians stripped people of their clothes and made them march into the frozen tundra, do you really believe those Russians werent guilty of murder, it was all the tundra’s fault?

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Did the pilot push them out without a parachute? Then yes.

If religion starts condemning people doing this, then they won’t be responsible.

Had to verify what JFC was several times before it stuck for me. Acronyms will always happen. I remember when someone recently was upset when I typed rmr. Apparently they didn’t like that I skipped the rest of the letters but that’s how I always typed it on America On Line Instant Messager back in the day. AOL Instant Messager, or AIM for short.

Sometimes we just have to update with the times or not care, I go back and forth

Edit before someone points out rmr is not an acronym; k

You are required to sign up but they usually only can enforce it in ways such as applying for a driver’s license or voter registration. Maybe more kids aren’t applying for drivers licenses and therefore aren’t signing up.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Can you find a source that says so? I only find sources that say they are not required

Example: americanbar.org/…/draft-will-should-women-have-du….

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

When I applied for a license at 16 back in 2006-esk time(born in 89) it was required to sign up to acquire one. 2 years before being legally allowed to vote

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

That would make sense, I never pay attention but it would make sense why so many applications ask about it

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Many people don’t pay attention. My mother (63) didn’t know me or my brother were egistered when a conversation came up about it last year. Most people are so complacent in accepting every day life because they are worried about living day by day. The concept that a mother who is legally responsible for 2 kids didn’t know they both signed themselves to serve in the military at 16 is baffling from a stand back and look at it mentality. (Only two kids, both sign to give their life away while her and her husban(my father) are the only ones who legally could sign our lives away at that age.)

With the recent issues of transgender people in sports, why don’t we move some sports over to a weight-class system?

Obviously this won’t work for all sports, but things like football, track, soccer, it would allow for de-gendered team, even allowing athletes with the skills but not the genetically-endowed physical attributes to have a place to play....

I believe in educating kids to know how to ignore distractions. The phone will be there in every work/life situation and will be a tool used to get them further in their careers and life in general. It’s stupid to let them use them openly during class… It’s also stupid to make legislation about them. Notice we don’t have country wide dress codes for schools. Just legislation that says when such codes have gone to far. Banning students from having items they carry daily is just a stupid over abuse of power being instated for what reason? Failed parenting and failed educators?

You text during class you get told to stop, happens again you get detention/thrown out of class/sent to the dean and eventually thrown out of the school. Always was that way. No need for laws around it.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

You can’t get/keep many jobs without one here, so it would make sense that being able to have/use one should be part of the education for said jobs.

I haven’t a job in ~7+ years that didn’t require 2 factor applications on personal devices to be able to access company resources such as email, elevated security accounts, VPN connections, etc.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Taking away freedoms for some possible benefits. The patriot act would like a word

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

If I used books for answers at work I’d be without a job pretty quick. It’s a slow antiquated technique. I don’t think kids need to look up answers on cell phones at school, but it would be smart to educate students how to use tools/resources that they will need and use in their daily lives.

The number of books that these students will reference in the their future careers in minimal. The number of phones/computer based systems is high.

If you are just teaching kids to regurgitate text from a textbook at this point they will forever be behind any LLM that exists. They need to learn to use information, quickly, and how to source it from reliable sources.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

The airplane wasn’t even invented yet, hard to understand someone buying you a vacation 9500 miles away and not needing to quit your job and be gone for 6 months

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Tolerating the intolerant is what you are asking for. It’s the same story with someone saying you should tolerate someone burning books. Them not tolerating peoples thoughts or beliefs and then being upset people call them terrible people for burning books.

That’s just stupidity

Tolerate people and then you deserve to be tolerated.

Now what would be comical (not actually comical) is to see Congress declare war for the first time since world war 2. They can do so without the presidents approval I believe, and can fund it against the presidents wishes. Now… The president can just tell the troops not to go to war though, showing how broken that system is.

No war, the president can send troops. War, the president can not send troops.
So the other representatives don’t matter to awfully much when it comes to starting wars. Now ending them on the other hand … Congress holds that with the funding part.

LifeInMultipleChoice , (edited )

Emergencies can only exist for 6 months and then have to be voted for termination by Congress. So say Prump pulled a Trutin, if the rest of the house/Senate weren’t bought and paid for that war would be over “years” ago now and congress could impeach the president if he tried to act like it was another emergency, followed by the Senate voting to oust them.

All the mechanisms are there, tainted and charred.

We need an age of restoration to clean it all off and update everything to fit with modern times.

““Jefferson states that each new generation has a right to choose for itself “the form of government it believes most promotive of its own happiness.” That every 20 years, the state constitution should be handed off to the next generation to amend and repair as they see fit””

So a bit controversial but I’d say that would point at older generations not supposed to be holding legislational positions/powers. If we up the age to fit lifespan from 20 to 30 years, then take the average age of the writers/powers at be during that time it would place a retirement age for legislative members at maybe 60-65.

Being that our supreme Court is somehow altering legislation at this point that would say 4 or 5 out of those 9 would have to retire immediately. The average age of senators is 64, so ~50 there, and a significant chunk of Congress.

Get out the steel woal and start cleaning the rust of this jalopy.

How to fix Korea's birthrate? Put girls in school earlier, controversial report argues (koreajoongangdaily.joins.com)

During the time period when the highest tax brackets fell from 70% to 50%… Down to now 37%.

Surely the people holding the most money paying near half the taxes they used to didn’t cause them to hold onto that money and drive more and more money up into their hands.

But I have it invested! So you can’t tax it yet, but I rolled it into a company so you can’t tax it or if you can you can’t tax me the same way!

For capitalism to work there has to be strong legal bindings to taxing the rich and subsidizing the poor to make sure they don’t get steamrolled by the system.

We having been pumping the breaks for years on those responsibilities, and more and more people in turn will get steamrolled and forced into starvation, homelessness. The mental health rates being low are directly tied to money in the middle and lower classes.

If we made a rule that for every 10 people who committed suicide do to scarcity that the richest person would be killed as well, we would run out of rich people not trying to promote subsidizing the poor pretty quick and trying to get the happiness of the people up instead of only worrying about profits.

That’s crazy obviously… But we need healthier motivation to make the world a better place. That isn’t a healthy one.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Wait till they learn the system is set up to keep people in and make money. When they are released and are still treated like nothing on probation for the 2 years he will blame the democrats for that… Not the system the Republican party has faught through and through to privatize and increase profits rather than rehabilitate people. Sidenote: the democrats aren’t innocent on building that system either, but maybeeee some of them will recognize prisons aren’t run in a healthy manner that benefits the people.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

That is correct, but you do lose out on all investments that have generated the wealth to make people wealthy these days.

So let’s say inflation was 4 percent for the year and you could have made 10 percent invested in stocks for the year, you would have made 6% profit on your money for the year. Instead you lost 4% that year.

That difference could make or break someone long term, completely different retirement options.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Tough question. I doubt it though. I would guess they would have to prove mal intent in some form. When a person slanders someone they use a preformed bias to promote oneself while hurting another intentionally. While you can argue the learned data contained a bias, it promotes itself by being a constant source of information that users can draw from and therefore make money and it would in theory be hurting the company. Did the llm intentionally try to hurt the company would be the last bump. They all have holes. If I were a judge/jury and you gave me the decisions I would say it isn’t beyond a reasonable doubt.

Two more US officials resign over Biden administration’s position on Gaza war (www.theguardian.com)

Alexander Smith, a contractor for the US Agency for International Development (USAID), said he was given a choice between resignation and dismissal after preparing a presentation on maternal and child mortality among Palestinians, which was cancelled at the last minute by USAID leadership last week....

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Seriously, we are losing maybe okay officials over and over. That just means their positions will be filled by people who don’t care about it.

LifeInMultipleChoice ,

Yes they do. Every day. Israel does, the U.S. does and every other government in the World. Also how could you not consider terrorizing hundreds of thousands of people not terrorism? The effects harm millions. Thereby Israel must be considered a terrorist state at this point… Which any country doing deals with would also be negotiating with terrorists.

Terrorism isn’t okay just because someone else did something. Hamas has performed acts of terror, Israel is as well.
