Ha yes, you can just do that. It’s totally not out of reach for all the peoples who have to work 2~3 jobs at once and still can’t save any money because even the basic necessities for survival are sold at extortion prices not to mention possible medical, college debt or mortgages.
If an open source app asks me to do so, I usually give it a five star review. It’s the least I can do to support them and make them visible on Google Play.
My wife has issues involving texture and trauma specifically at the dentist office, so I usually accompany her to appointments. So far no office has had an issue.
One time though, she needed to have those spacers put in her teeth, and she told the dentist and hygienist that she would throw up if it was in too long, and that she WILL bite down if there’s sharp pain, so use slightly more local anesthetic than normal and wait a little longer for it to work well.
They rushed.

The moment I heard the cry of pain and felt my wife squeezing my hand super hard, I already knew what happened without having to look around anything.
I just said “And that’s why we told you to wait longer. You were warned.”
They were Super chill about everything, all things considered. I know I’d be pissed if I got bit by someone while doing my job, even if that job was literally their teeth.

To me, that’s just the case for camera and calendar. Maps is IMHO perfect (except the unnecessary G) and the red-and-white envelope is quite well-known.
I think what really bothers me about the aesthetics is that the shapes are broken up by the coloration. For example, the pin icon for Google Maps looks almost like a hook, because the yellow has little contrast on this white background.
And that’s why I don’t really hate it. I hate Google, but I think it’s a neat design choice. I still hate Microsoft’s icon design a lot though, they can’t seem to stick with one thing.
It’s okay, tbh I don’t think you’re missing out. My experience is that they’re usually badly maintained if they’re maintained at all (last time I looked at a hotel pool it was green and growing algae). The “swimmable” hotel pools are only found at really, really nice hotels.
Why do they even bother installing pools in hotels if they’re not going to maintain them? What a waste of space.
