I’ve been to hundreds and do have the tinnitus but it doesn’t much bother me at all. I rarely go anymore because of unrelated reasons, but it was all worth it.
I worry because I hear it gets progressively worse even after you’ve stopped exposing yourself to extreme volumes. I raw-dogged two or three shows that were way too loud to be at without protection and that was enough for one ear to have significantly worse hearing than the other, that’s what finally made me start using those musician earplugs. But apparently I can expect the ringing and loss of hearing to continue getting worse anyways…
The NRA and the like will probably use this again as an opportunity to demand even more and even bigger weapons for the police, the Secret Service and everyone else. Not that it will do any good, but they’ll try anyway, I suppose.
You see, the problem wasn’t that the agents didn’t follow through on tips from the public, or have a marksman on the highest available rooftop for surveillance and counter sniping. No, the issue was that the agents could not simply shoot through the building to get the shooter.
That’s why they need recoiless rifles for the agents
But… but he’s not a hurricane… I guess they could fix him up with horse tranquilliser and bleach afterwards though. (adding a /s here for the terminally oblivious)
Why not arm everyone in the crown. Good guy with a gun and all. Or, just call it democracy via bullet, that’s what they want anyway. Just let the mob shoot it out at every rally.
