I don’t get why people love Muppets so much. I pretty much grew up without it, and I think one time my mom let us take a Muppet movie home from the library when I was a kid, and it was… Alright. I guess.
Anyone care to explain what they like about about them?
Multiple actors who have played against Sesame Street characters like Elmo have said that they forget there is a human hidden under the puppet - they’re that good.
One probably tunes it out after a while. And professional actors are probably much better than average at convincing their brains that a fictional situation is real.
The show is the best of the muppets, not the movies. Some of them are decent, but judging the show by the movies is like trying to understand SNL by watching Blues Brothers and Night at the Roxbury.
As an adult who grew up on sesame street and the muppets, it’s just the unabashed wholesomeness that I love. They were preaching inclusivity when I was growing up in a time/place that tried to force conformity. They weren’t cool, they were themselves, and that’s never a bad message for kids (or adults).
The newer movie (The Muppets 2011), co-written by Jason Segal, who also grew up with The Muppets, captures that vibe perfectly IMHO.
I grew up on a farm, I’ve killed and slaughtered my own food my whole life and I always felt good about eating meat because of that fact.
As I get older I’m really starting to hate killing things, I don’t want to end a life at all. My couple of vegetarian days might turn into a whole lifestyle.

in my experience the niche content on mainstream sites tends to be generic meaningless content made primarily by uh, creators who aren’t actually in the community but are just dabbling around. When people in alternate communities do post there, it’s often as a front for people to find them, likely a limited selection and/or the individual pieces also limited, and link back to other sites where their actual (often paid) stuff is
even if you do find it, there’s obviously a lot less so people are more willing to pay for it
With the extremely niche categorise I’ve seen, unless you mean something actually illegal, I just don’t really agree.

So tldr yes free does exist but you prefer to pay for quality. It’s pretty much the same with even vanilla categories.
Not illegal stuff, just very fringe stuff. There’s like 5 videos that float around and all link back to paid sources. Once you’ve finished to those same 5 videos for the 30th time, you’re fucking bored with them, and you have to seek out homemade stuff by being involved in online communities for it, or by paying for it. Most of the time the homemade shit you also have to pay for.
Feels like this is more a specific scenario than a genre, but I’m gonna take your word for it.
I would be interested to know just what is so hard to find given some of the things I’ve a friend sometimes searched for. But not enough to want to make others say aloud what they searched for.

Niche may also mean a particular person. There was an OF girl I was obsessed with. Not in an emotional way, but damn did she push my buttons, her makeup, outfits, poses, all that and more. And the tiniest titties, if you’re into that. Paid for a couple of months just to get some more.

Are there ever any posts (besides Josh the car sales guy) about people who have actually succeeded in any of this? They say “just look at x” or “just study x”. But no one is offering anything useful. Like they found the secret but you have to find it yourself?
It’s like a group for “astronauts in space who will teach you how to get into space”, but there are no astronauts in the group just people who think space is fake.
