And yet unsophisticated minds continue to imbue him with romantic power, giving him such dangerous poetic labels as the One Free Man, the Opener of the Way.
I get 4 weeks, plus sick days, plus parental leave, various types of training days and charitable days, plus a 2 week carry-over and I’m neither American nor European.
I was married to someone from a “third world” country and boy americans have so much worst than them. If I were american I would reather live there than in the US just to get all the benefits
I’m not a fan of animal style fries, but I do like their fries. I get a laugh at how everyone hates on them for having the least processed fries in the business. Long before in n out was in my area, every now and then my dad would make fries out of fresh potatoes. He would do it just like in n out. Cut up the potato, fry it up and add salt. I get that nostalgia plays a part, but those were the best damn fries I ever ate as a child. In n out’s taste very similar especially if you get them fresh. (Still not the same, but it’s very good) People always complain that they aren’t as crisp, but honestly, just appreciate that they are made differently, and expect something different. There are literally 3 ingredients. Potato, oil, and salt, and you can watch them manually cutting potatoes from the drive thru or lobby. Imo that’s a sign of quality, and I would be mad as hell if they switched to generic par fried frozen shit that you can get literally anywhere else.
Well, that should be part of your hourly rate. I’m also self-employed and sick and personal days-off are factored in (with a large margin too, just in case!).
The most heinous thing is lack of required sick time. And who is it that’s least likely to get paid sick time? Customer service, of course, the ones coughing and sneezing all over your clothes and food.
Not everybody, usually RTTs depend on how much overtime is planned in your contract (eg. most engineers work 37.5h instead of 35h, so they get 1 RTT each 3 weeks). Many people don’t have any RTT
For non-Americans and people who may not have paid attention in history class (or simply don’t remember), CptEnder is referring to the Battle of Atlanta during the American Civil War. The photo is of Confederate fortifications against the Union.
I haven’t seen this photo before - do you know if this is before or after Atlanta fell? Looks like maybe a before, to me.
On the other side of the spike wall in an inner moat. I presume the inner spikes help trap people and creates a kill zone. Also arranging spikes in an X pattern is simple to produce.
28 days + 8 Bank Holidays. Easter is great, you can have 16 days not at work, and only use 8 days holiday. (Good Friday and Easter Monday are Bank holidays, and I don’t work weekends)
Yeah, if you like something don’t learn about how it’s done, just think god gave it to you like that. If you think about it you ain’t gonna eat anything anymore. Everything we buy is either very disgusting or involve some kind of torture/slavery (human or not). So either don’t think or think a lot and only eat from your own garden. (fyi I live in a flat so I can’t have a garden)
