You just blew my mind by introducing me to a new aspect of history that wasn’t familiar to me. I love history, so thank you! Also, that wasn’t a library book citation, so check-mate bitch!
Me, reads comments: Man there’s a lot more of the ‘college ain’t nuthin’ but debt and a piece of paper’ people on Lemmy than I thought there were.
Ya’ll are just trying to overcompensate for feeling inadequate about not going to college. If you don’t go, don’t go. It’s not for everyone. But don’t shit on and downplay the people who have the talent and ability to do so.
“It just teaches you do be a useful tool of the machine!” yeah that’s exactly what someone who didn’t go or shouldn’t have went to college would think.
You’re talking as if there’s enough contradictions to fill a 9 minute youtube video of stick figures on a quiz show for bible contradictions or something
I’ve heard that before. Maybe it was artistic language but they talk about smoke and fire coming from its mouth, not something crocodiles are know for.
Lol The leviathan and the behemoth mentions in Job were probably my favorite parts of the Bible growing up. When I was bored at church as a kid I would reread them from the pew Bible.
I mean, yeah, this did happen. People hundreds of years ago found scary-looking bones, and imagined what they could be from. Dinosaur translates to basically Terror Lizard for a reason. That doesn’t mean that they were dragons though lmao
Im guessing all of these (or at least top left and bottom right) are from the spanish civil war. CNT/FAI were anarchist organisations that fought (and lost) against the fascist franquists.
