No they say it because they want to objectify and demean you. I knew a guy like this and it had nothing to do with sticking to the binary and everything to do with making people feel bad for being different.
Yeah it’s really sad that people are like that. He was the choir teacher at my hs and would call a nb person in the group ‘it’ if he was corrected. Just kinda gross but he was old as fuck and abt to retire anyway so we never really escalated it.
Overall, we rate Mondoweiss as Left Biased and Questionable due to the blending of opinion with news, the promotion of pro-Palestinian and anti-zionist propaganda, occasional reliance on poor sources, and hate group designation by third-party pro-Israel advocates.
I feel like “blending of opinion with news” and “occasional reliance on poor sources” is all that really need be said.
I independently checked Mondoweiss using Media Bias a few months ago because it was posted elsewhere and I had not heard of it before, but was disturbed to see the extra reasoning behind the rating.
It’s for sure questionable at best, the Wikipedia discussion someone else posted was enlightening on that, but “designation as a hate-group by pro-Israel” sources doesn’t really mean much when sources like the ADL equivocate anti-Zionism and anti-Semitic rhetoric in bad faith.
What was the genre of the music? Was it future house? Or some type of speech-singing jazz? So far with the clues, I was able to find SIAMÉS “The Wolf”, but it’s probably not what you’re looking for.
Hm, I’m not that good at the names for musical genres. It was a female singing, and sometimes she’s sing “doo-bee-doo-bee-doo”. I think it was French, but the song was in English.
LOL I know this is not a great description from me.
Could it be Aurora’s song in the Wolfwalkers - Running with the Wolves? Honestly, if you remember the tune, you should also make use of Soundhound or Google’s in-build music-search feature. This way, the results will be narrowed.
No it’s not that. But you’ve given me an idea to trawl through my youtube history.
This would have been around 10 years ago so I’ve gone to google takeout to export all my youtube watch history and try to somehow grep through it. Thanks.
I wouldn’t say anyone would take it out on them. But I can imagine growing up and hating your own name. I sympathize because I hate my first and middle name equally.
It’s just an ugly name, too ethnic for my liking too. Nobody ever pronounces it properly, or I’m constantly correcting or spelling out my name. It’s a pain in the ass. My middle name has the exact same issue.
I just wish I had a neutral and easy name if not a cool one. I made it a point to give my kid a good name because of it. I was named after parent’s relatives who I never knew. I just hate my name.
I wish bot comments didn’t count toward the comment count, too. It’s annoying to see “1 comment” and then you look and it’s just this or the summary bot.
Summer is fairly easy. Other than the sun never setting, it is pretty similar to other parts of the USA. The big difference is that you are a lot more affected by the wilderness, including large animals like moose, mosquitos, and bears.
Winter really sucks. Everyone has good Arctic gear to keep warm. Cars either need to be plugged in or left running to keep from freezing. Snow keeps piling up and doesn’t melt for a while.
There is a strong sense of community and helping out neighbors because it is the only way to survive out there. People leave their doors unlocked, in part because people may need to escape a large animal mentioned earlier.
That said, there are a lot of weird people in Alaska, mainly as it is a good place to find manual labor jobs that don’t require a background check. There is also a massive male-female imbalance.
You’ve created an Orb in your own mind. Try to shrink and control it. Don’t think about it too much or it’ll drive you crazy.
Don’t worry though, lots of famous people, like even “Tomska and Ashens”, have got Orbs, and they unknowingly spread them without ever going insane themselves.
Basically how the actual concept and visualisation of an Orb can get into your head and alter your thinking based on imagination. Lisp programming is essentially a more controlled version of that, which you can use to make real logical deductions.
Black hole speculative physics and the internal geometries of spheres are based on Orbs as well.
Definitely post weird stuff. Please. Weird is my jam. Other people might down vote it, but who cares?
I'm all over the board as far as stuff that I like. Various types of extreme metal is what I most frequently have going. I've been trying to post a wide variety of different stuff in this group. To me, a general music group is by definition open to a broad variety of sounds. I haven't taken things into the noise territory as of yet under the assumption that not a lot of people would be into it, but I'd love to see some of that as well.
I'd considered starting a new group centered around more fringe music. The metal community is fairly active, and this group is active. So that's cool. There's just some stuff that's just inherently and obviously less accessible that it'd be nice to give a home with the idea that your expecting something a bit more challenging at the outset. I may end up doing that, but I also may need to figure out different instance to base it out of if I do.
