Is that python? If it’s, thank you, finally learned how to format text in a way that can be read on the script and in the execution.

Korne127 ,
@Korne127@lemmy.world avatar

It isn’t, there are curly braces. It’s TypeScript.

driving_crooner ,
@driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br avatar

Python also have curly bracers, om dictionaries.

Korne127 ,
@Korne127@lemmy.world avatar

Yes, but not for indentation (which is obviously what I meant)

ReveredOxygen ,
@ReveredOxygen@sh.itjust.works avatar

No, but you can do the same in python

driving_crooner ,
@driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br avatar

I was thinking on trying it. Need to see how it works with f formatting.

alfenstein ,

Looks like TypeScript to me

zaphod ,

As the other comments have already said it’s not Python. Not sure what you mean with text formatting, do you mean that it’s multiple strings that are concatenated using +? You don’t need the + in Python, you can do

<span style="color:#323232;">some_function(
</span><span style="color:#323232;">    </span><span style="color:#183691;">"part one of really long string"
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> </span><span style="color:#183691;">" part two of really long string"
</span><span style="color:#323232;">)
</span>

Which is identical to

<span style="color:#323232;">some_function(</span><span style="color:#183691;">"part one of really long string part two of really long string"</span><span style="color:#323232;">)
</span>

It is sad that we live in a world where this has to be a question.

His pants are the only piece of clothing that doesn’t rip off. So it’s not that he’s swinging a lot of lumber, but he’s probably very aggressive with it.

Yes. The human one.

@snooggums@midwest.social avatar

I had a massive drop in non-English posts after setting it to English+Undefind, and then just blocked the half dozen communites that weren’t properly set.

After typing that out I just remembered that other instances only show communities from the instance and those someone locally has subscribed to, so it is probably more of an issue on .world.

That sucks.

Such fascinating creatures! Subjectively barely an animal, almost a plant, especially in polyp phase. But so beautiful, and able to navigate, feed and survive, despite not having a brain and barely any nervous system to speak of. They must be very efficient, that they can survive with such low grade hardware.
