Nintendo is the worst at this. What do they lose by releasing wind Waker HD on switch? They have so many games like that, just let me buy them off your estore and I gladly will
I was going to say “ahh, too bad the Internet isn’t really helpful for that method of learning”, but with AI who knows, maybe that’ll be something your computer can do before too long
I don’t really understand your comment - sorry! - but I’ve played some games with the plasma deck and I still have to understand how to play exactly with it, I do good-ish at first but after a few rounds/first boss I do so little numbers and I can’t win, having someone watching what I do wrong and telling me would be great
For plasma specifically I’d focus on high additive chip jokers. While that’s normally bad advice, consider how crazy good a card with +50 mult on it would be. Now consider that a +100 chip joker is effectively a +50 chip/+50 mult (I know that’s not technically true but I’m illustrating a point). Also eventually you do hit a point of diminishing returns because plasma prevents you from having a super high multiplier or chips, so like every build, total score multipliers are the best
The one who played it before me said it was best to get the X multi jokers so I always ignored the + multi ones and even the X multi final score… I tried but I don’t exactly know which ones do that. I should try with what you said and see if it works, thanks!
Well, you must have already got quite a bit of experienge then, since that one get unlocked after the second most difficult stake, right? Have you tried focusing on chips, instead of mult? Chips are way easier to raise.
For a while, I’ve mentioned that the most logical course of action after the Napoleon and Oppenheimer movies is a Marcus Aurelius one, complete with Peter “Optimus Prime” Cullen as Marcus Aurelius.
I’d love to see a TV series about Hadrian where he arrives in a new province every episode and fixes stuff.
Interspersed are scenes of young Hadrian with Trajan, who is constantly badgered by mail by provincial governors (including Pliny the Younger) about trivial matters, as he tries (and fails spectacularly) to instill into Hadrian the importance of decentralized leadership.
@alessandro They both do different things well.
Consoles play games. That simplicity is slept on until you spend an hour or more trying to configure a game on PC or diagnose a persistent "crash on launch." No modularity but cheaper initial cost.
PCs offer modularity, multiple controller types, mods, and free online multiplayer. Also better, faster adoption of things like higher framerates. Also offer higher performance and increased modularity at the cost of higher prices.
You can literally say the exact same thing with Windows. That’s how you Linux peeps feel, constantly yelling “why are you using windows! Stop having fun!”
Is windows perfect? Nah. But does it work most the time? Yeah. All the bitching about windows being shit and yet my 300+ installed games all work… Crazy…
How about just let people use what they like and shut up with the damn “my OS is better than yours” nonsense?
It’s posts like this, that even though I’ve used Linux in the past, make me immediately think “nah, fuck that, I’ll stick to windows. I don’t want to deal with those people.”
Ive literally never heard of that. Windows can overwrite grub/your bootloader though (easy fix, just boot into a live usb and reinstall grub).
If Linux eats your Windows install that’s a serious bug. That means it’s overwritten data on a drive that’s not even mounted, without you directing it to do so.
Disclaimer: I’m not knowledgeable about the “under the hood” things on Linux OR Windows. I’ve just heard it can happen and really don’t want that for myself.
If you found a house that was too expensive and tried camping outside it with your average wage in sharpie on a cardboard sign, nobody else would join in and reveal their earnings so nakedly. Nor would they reveal it in an online sorting list with their current house listed beside it…
Besides, you’d likely object to moving to their previous humble residence in Alberta where the older couple earned the retirement that affords them this house.
Google analytics is loaded by JavaScript. There are also other things like Google analytics that are also loaded by JavaScript.
Updating a website can take time, and usually involves someone with at least a passing knowledge of development.
Google tag manager is a service that lets you embed one JavaScript thing in your page, and then it will handle loading the others. This lets marketing or analytics people add and manage such things without needing to make a full code deployment.
It also lets you make choices about when and how different tracking events for different services are triggered.
It’s intended usage is garbage tracking metrics and advertising. Some sites are built more by marketing than developers, and they’ll jam functional stuff in there which causes breakage if you block it. These sites are usually garbage though, so nothing of value was lost.
