So, I spent the last few days researching and then finally setting up mailcow. I got my domain name, my wildcard certificate, got all the containers up, disabled ipv6 (I don’t have it set up on my home router and am too lazy to set it up tbh), created a domain and an mailbox, etc....
My son is turning 9 and has been using his computer more and more. he has my old System76 wild dog from 2010, which is a great computer, but is way past the end of its life. He mostly plays minecraft and browser games, though he is doing more artistic stuff in gimp and even a bit of cad for our 3d printer or in blockbench....
At the moment i use a super hacky and unstable setup where multiple instances of everything in ETP server mode run under a windows core VM, and when it works, it works fine. But sometimes it stops updating the index, sometimes it just crashes, sometimes serves the wrong db, and so on....
