Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

You can try reaching out to the instance admin to ask if you can be a mod for that community.

You can mod for another instance. I’ve tested creating a community then promoting an account from another instance as a mod. You’ll need to make a post in the community before you can be promoted as mod.

Yes, you can - I do it by having my home instance as wayfarershaven.eu and being a mod for !asklemmy on Lemmy.ml

Each community is hosted on some instance, and the instance’s operator still has the ability to do moderator actions there.

And every other admin. I’m guessing this is what happened to communities like Games or Apple.
