Men's Lib
Does anybody know of an equivalent to /r/menslib? I think a strong egalitarian community for men could easily become a cornerstone of the threadiverse.

This also works for any links on shields.io, but I didn’t notice the Lemmy & Mastodon links before. Please share anything else you discover while experimenting. I’ll edit in more tips as people find them...
So I have had mixed results with unattended upgrades on Debian based distros. It sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. It turns out that sometimes you need to enable it though dpkg-reconfigure unattended-upgrades...
Hi there,...
There have been quite a few comments and posts arguing about political memes and whether they belong here. I’m not exactly in any position of authority, but hopefully I can do something about this....
My nearest way is using my steam controller but isn’t comfy to navigate Netflix or other streaming websites.
As a user, the best way to handle applications is a central repository where interoperability is guaranteed. Something like what Debian does with the base repos. I just run an install and it’s all taken care of for me. What’s more, I don’t deal with unnecessary bloat from dozens of different versions of the same library...
I’m going to have a small French press for my coffee, as I’ve spent a little more than I wanted to on my first hand grinder so I’ll be saving my pennies for a good while. What’s your preferred ratio of water to coffee when making a French press? What’s your technique for brewing? I prefer a light roast, if that matters...

I tried a bunch of overrides ans exposes the .themes folder in my home after copying all the themes. Nothing seems to work. Did anyone succeed in theming these apps in a...
Hello all,...
I’m looking for potential Lemmy/Kbin communities where people can ask for suggestions for data sources. There’s “datahoarders” but that’s more technical how-to’s of the act of hoarding (I think)....
Hello! I have a bunch of photos all mixed together, and I’d like to sort them out in order to better find the ones I’m searching for without loosing half an hour. I was thinking of adding custom tags to each image (manually), like “my dog”, “trip to Paris”, “my friend X” etc. I’d like this tag system to be...
I’ve been searching around and can’t seem to find a good answer for how to share an NFS share with all devices on my Tailscale network. I know I can list out all of the IPs individually, but I’d like to have any new devices added to Tailscale to have access without having to update the share.
Just wondering what people who have watched Netflix’s new One Piece series think....

I never got into mastodon because I couldn’t connect multiple instances. I like this a lot about Lemmy so far (just here for a few minutes though)....

I host some services and now start to slowly let family and friends use some of those services. for myself i have a dashboard (Heimdall, just because it worked nicely first try and I didn’t bother looking at others) and I want to also have one for other users. Now I imagine something like that:...
Was my post too long? It does give a character limit though…...
