I hate to be on the side of sex offenders but it is literally unconstitutional in every sense based on the ex post facto clause of the US Constitution, where the government may not retroactively levy penalties or liabilities. Does it suck as applied here? Hell yeah, but arguably if they can cross this line today, what line will be crossed tomorrow? The ex post facto clause along with prohibitions on bills of attainder have a strong respected history in American Jurisprudence and arguably makeup one of the first major divisions between English and American Law (aka we fought a revolutionary war over it).

I have been running Windows 10+11 on arm for years now, the next version of Windows Server 2025 already has an arm preview release. Windows ARM has for a long time had x86 emulation, and has supported x64 emulation since about the start of COVID.

MacOS does use the term translations for its Rosetta Layer while Windows Arm uses the term emulation. I do believe the technical difference is that MacOS converts x64 code to arm64 on the fly, while part of the reason for emulation on Windows is to support x86 and other architectures. I think the videomaker may be failing to account for swap space. The latest Fedora releases use zram (swap that lives in memory instead of hard disk) by default, while the rest do not. Windows in particular does not take 72G and tends to be aggressive in swap allocation. The lengths on top are how long the cable you are snooping on is (ie a cell phone’s cable is only gonna be a few cm, a laptop is probably at the 15cm mark), and how far away you are (Those last pics at 300cm(3m) would be under 10ft). Its actually a pretty nice upgrade, and definitely worth getting for a screen repair, but the fact that they basically didn’t actually ship until the OLED started selling was what killed this products potential. In fact I would be willing to be most owners are like myself people who preordered long ago and finally received their unit weeks behind schedule, and only after the new model with a better screen came out.
