For the cat? For you? Or both? I bet it’s both…

DaCrazyJamez ,

Unique concept? It was a clone of “Helicopter Game” that was from like 1990

DaCrazyJamez ,

Ok, so now I’m curious, will wild big cats and domestics cats get along? I mean like if a tabby got into a tiger enclosure, would it immediately be dinner, or might they see each other as cousins?

DaCrazyJamez ,

Those mountains? Nah, that place needs mining!

DaCrazyJamez ,

Historically, most families lived together under one roof (even royalty). It was only in post WWII USA that the idea of each generation having its own home became prevalent.

Yes, but what is the distance from the blast to perfectly cook a frozen pizza?

Only five bodies delivered to Belgorod morgue after mysterious Russian plane crash, Ukrainian intelligence suggests (www.cnn.com)

Ukraine says it has intelligence suggesting only five bodies were delivered from the crash site of a Russian military transport plane to a nearby morgue, a Ukraine military intelligence official told CNN, casting doubt on Moscow’s claim that dozens of Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed in the explosion....

DaCrazyJamez ,

I think the most likely scenario is that russian soldier executed the POWs well before the crash, and are just saying they died in the crash to cover up their war crimes.

Ukraine says it was not informed about need to ensure safety of airspace before plane crash in Belgorod Oblast (kyivindependent.com)

Ukraine’s military intelligence, or HUR as it is known in Ukraine, said the Russian side did not inform it about the need to ensure the safety of the airspace before a plane crashed over Belgorod that the Russian Defense Ministry claims had Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) on board....

DaCrazyJamez ,

Sounds to me like Russians executed 65 POWs. Then in an unrelated event, a plane crashed. So Russia says the 65 war crimes were actually killed in the plane crash. Oh, and they also say this is all somehow Ukraines fault.

DaCrazyJamez ,

I think those rounds are made for the R.O.U.S.s

DaCrazyJamez ,

Russia wants NATO and other nations to feel that they could invade so the countries will start focusing on thier own defensive positions and stop giving aod to Ukraine. Expect to see a LOT of fake news and propaganda about this.

What happens to my Corpse if I die in a Forest?

I was just randomly checking out what Funerals costs and was shocked how expensive it was! €3.500 to €5.500! I live in north Germany, and we have here some very deep Woods. So I was thinking what would happen if I just die there. Let’s say no one ever finds me. Are Animals just going to eat me, and will I just be gone in a...

Dear media, stop saying, “hypersonic,” like it is some big deal. Nearly every missile system that is in any way useful meets that criteria. It’s akin to a headline discussing “edible” food.

DaCrazyJamez ,

There are many reasons these may be pacakaged this way: from lowering the possibility of accidentally taking the wrong pill to anti-theft.

It would be cheaper for the manufacturer to just put them all in a bottle, so rest assured they wouldn’t do this if the benefits didn’t outweigh the costs.

Legal working age of 15 1/2 (in my state) plus a kid who looks young for their age - may not be the most appealing situation, bit this probably completely above board.

ELI5 why is anarchy not "the guy with the bigger stick" making the rules?

I’m politically agnostic and have moved from a slightly conservative stance to a vastly more progressive stance (european). i still dont get the more niche things like tankies and anarchists at this point but I would like to, without spending 10 hours reading endless manifests (which do have merit, no doubt, but still)....

DaCrazyJamez ,

Anarchy, in it’s purest sense, is to a system what darkness is to light. Darkness is the absence of light, not a thing in-and-of itself. Anarchy is the lack of an establishment or system, rather than a system in itself.

What this means, in practical application, is that most anarchists are simply opposed to whatever system exists currently. Human nature dictates that SOME system will exist as long as we do, so true anarchy can only exist when there are no longer humans around to perceive it.

In historical context, this almost always means that when anarchy “takes over,” what it creates is a “systemic void” which - like any vacuum - quickly gets filled. Usually by the guy with the biggest stick.

DaCrazyJamez ,

That cat is very curious why you aren’t doing that in the appropriate place on the rug or couch.

Geothermal energy requires a very stable heat source near the surface. Unfortunately, while volcanoes meet both the “heat source” and “near surface” criteria, they are not at all stable.

Depending on what you consider technology:

I have several firearms well over 100 years old in perfectly operational condition.

Quite a few kitchen appliances from the 70s that will never die.

And a working Apple IIgs.

As far as use on a daily or near daily basis, I have a 1974 Fender guitar amp, and a few other speakers and musical instruments that are vintage that are also going to outlive me.

Well, the military has a lot of projects and operations the public doesn’t, and shouldn’t, know about. If you see about a sting in Syria on CNN, so do the hostile insurgents, or whomever are the enemies du jour. But how can you expense the operation on a public budget sheet, if the operation can’t, for security reasons, be public? The answer is simple: you spend $10,000 on $10 toilet seats, and the $9,990 now accounted for dollars are paying for equipment, ammunition, transportation, training, payroll, and benefits for something that officially never happened.

DaCrazyJamez ,

This is not at all how the federal reserve and treasury department work.

The fed does create money, but not directly. They control the reserve rate, which determines how much banks can lend over backed deposits, which in turn affects the amount of currency (not just physical but also digital) in circulation.

They can also issue or absord treasury notes and bonds to impact money supply, though this is fairly small compared to the first method.

Lastly, the treasury can print physical, paper or coinage money. This called “fiat currency” by the way. This, however, accounts for an even smaller portion of the moneg supply than bonds.

In short, the government cannot, does not, and will not simply “create money from nowhere.”

Please avoid posting false information.
