There are very, very few wild horses, and they’re pretty much untamable. But there are TONS of feral horses with populations growing out of control and governments at a loss for what to do about it

Legislative BS that requires public opinion often refers to them as wild (because it plays to romanticizing) or they are sometimes labeled wild just to categorize how they will be treated by land and animal controllers (so they are considered “natural” in some areas). Before like the 70s, they were treated as pests and killed, but people thought they were cool and pretty, so it had to stop.

Arizona had always had a shitty time because the horse populations destroy the environment, but when parks people tried to thin or remove them, people complained because horses are pretty.

If he was trying to cut the kid off, he is God damned terrible at driving. He was trying to be “bad ass” and knock the kid over. He REFUSES to say over radio what happened (at least in the time I watched).

Oregon does not check immigration status to apply for the state’s free insurance that covers anyone making less than 250% the federal definition of poverty. That means even undocumented immigrants get full access to Medicaid.

A government investigation released its report at the end of January this year. The families of the victims, as well as the survivor, praised the report and the commission’s recommendation of charges for Corporate Manslaughter They are begging the government to take action. This was the latest info I could find.

The report squarely blames Paria (and names one person in particular) for blocking rescue attempts by the diving company and ignoring expert divers to whom they had access.

So ACAB, and we are a country with stupidly low quality of freedom despite the morons who just think guns=freedom, and fuck this was a BS move.

However, the Constitution states only that the government will not pass laws that interfere with freedom of assembly. Courts have decided that this includes protests, picketing, labor strikes, etc.

Courts have also concluded that this doesn’t mean you can assemble wherever you want, namely on private property. These students were essentially just trespassed by the university. Can’t really blame the policeor government for this one, unless you want to lean more extreme that they should be saying “fuck off, we disagree”. But I’d rather have a system where the police follow the law because I don’t trust any of them to make any good decisions on their own morals.

The chief even came out with a statement that was a dig at the university president that he only observed peaceful protest, not the bullshit she was claiming.

Image from 2022 using infrared imaging with the goal of spotting clouds on Titan. The white spot that looks like a bubble reflection on the upper right of the image (1 o’clock?) is a cloud.

This is not true color, but colors assigned to different the wavelengths that we otherwise cannot see. Visible light would not have allowed imaging deep enough into the atmosphere to see clouds.

Nope! They got to see two cloud actually! A second set of images exists from Keck Observatory with the other cloud.

The thick atmosphere isn’t cloudy, just dense with methane.

I’m not 100%, but the clouds are exciting I think because they demonstrate seasonal changes.
