@atzanteol All's good. Yea, reason for the post was that even though I took the partitions offline it wouldn't still let me resize. So I think the best next move would be just booting into a USB and see if it lets me.
The whole disk well, only the boot is separated. The rest of the partition has the whole space controlled by LVM. Interestingly even though that may be the setup something was just rejecting my resize request.
Sadly have more to say but Mastodon limit is hitting haha. nutshell
So I'm currently toying around with NeoCities, and decided to trial it by building your classic mid '90s Geocities/Tripod/Angelfire pastiche website.
Some of the most important elements are already in place.
Tile background? Large font? Heading in bright pink with a shadow? Unusual colour choices? Random cat gifs? Under construction gif? Check! Check! Check!
In the true spirit of the '90s DIY web, some more pages (including the links page) are coming soon.
(I'm thinking of adding a page dedicated to either Britney or a nu-metal band.)
My only question is about whether drop shadows on text was prominent. I’m having trouble remembering how that effect would have been accomplished in the 90s, since I don’t think CSS got it until later. Would it have been something on the <font> tag only supported in Internet Explorer?
@ajsadauskas@neil@asklemmy As for chat, probably the best way to do that today is to use Web Sockets but style it to look like frames or a Java applet on the page.
When I was younger, I might decide to take an earlier bus stop and walk some extra instead of having to talk with someone I know and was riding the same bus. It's not that they were bad people, I just didn't know how to talk with them. I kicked myself for this: why can't I be a normal person?
Now that I've understood I'm autistic, I can cut myself some slack. It's perfectly ok to walk extra to avoid talking with someone. It makes it easier for my mental health.
I released my first game on Steam and got rid of impostor syndrome!
My first game Mushy Score is out on Steam! I have been creating games since I was a child but never felt like a real game dev. Now I finally have a game that I can show to other people.
Mushy Score is a 2D Roguelike where you fight against endless waves of enemies. Collect points and try to get a high score! I am super exited for the release !
@wawe
Just bought and played it and had a lot of fun! I love the frequent powerups and the variety of the monsters. The first time I saw the toad was truly terrifying! Lol. I'd love to see some kind of powerup that helps with arial enemies. Maybe the plants can shoot upwards, too? Or you can? Or a flying plant? Or a second bullet that goes up at 45 degrees? Anyway, well worth the super low asking price. Looking forward to playing more! It works perfect on the #SteamDeck, too! @games
During a presentation by an executive with Google’s Israel branch on Monday, a Google Cloud engineer stood up and shouted, “I refuse to build technology that powers genocide or surveillance.” They were later fired.
Fair enough. That hasn’t been my experience for the last almost 2 years. Teams in our org have been told that if they lose people they can’t hire replacements. Shit’s sucked
I’ve also been hearing about massive layoffs at tons of the biggest companies. I’d be surprised if they were still hiring, obviously.
Anyone knows how to properly start a multiseat wayland with a desktop environment or window manager running?
I just need simple stuff such as profile initialization of the user and if it's possible to just share the same discrete GPU across multiple seats?
The end result? I want to isolate my current user space from the gaming space where I can just connect using moonlight/sunshine. I want it all headless.
