I came to post my guess. I’m not surprised. I do wonder if the error rate has gone up or people are visiting doctors more often thus there being more opportunities. Or both. If people survive disease and such more than they used to there’s more opportunity for things like medical errors.
Not banning something doesn’t sound like “doubling down”. Doubling down would be pushing for increases, or asking for tax incentives to encourage it. It’s more likely she knows it won’t be able to compete with renewables and will naturally die out without banning it.
there’s also the possibility that, through further green initiatives and climate benchmarks, her administration can simply make fracking somehow prohibitively expensive or somehow impractical within certain performance restrictions without outright banning it.

It looks like “threatens a lawsuit” is being used here because “sues” would be inaccurate (since the suit has not been filed).
Not just the white stripes, Jack is one of the most prolific artists of this generation. The Raconteurs, Dead Weather, and his solo efforts are all amazing too.

So it comes down to the details. I’d be satisfied if she started restricting longer term activities like exploration and building pipelines.
