Makes 10 thousand fists in the air seem like nothing.

What's was your favourite fast food product that unfortunately got retired and never came back?

Here, for a while at McDonald’s there was a 🍔 called “the 1955” and it was the best, big pieces of onion, an special sauce, buns and big piece of beef with bacon (for Europe standards anyways) it disappeared once and came back for an encore only to be removed again and never return.

Alexstarfire ,

It’s not illegal to make one at home.

Alexstarfire ,

You’ll probably want to start with dry beans. Canned ones are likely just going to be beans boiled in regular water. Meant to be an ingredient in something rather than the star. But if you make from scratch you can add in flavors: onion, garlic, etc.

Plenty of recipes online.

When making refried beans make sure to use pork fat of some kind. I use bacon fat.

is it illegal to create a ticket on reddit?

Reddit is blocking vpns and invites users to create a ticket if they think there’s been an error. I almost created a ticket with email address [email protected] saying i wasn’t sure if I was using a VPN with the body text just being “fuckyouspez!!!” over and over. I didn’t submit it because I thought for a moment...

Alexstarfire ,

Don’t know why it would be illegal. No threats or anything, just spam. And spam email sure as fuck ain’t illegal.

Might be against the EULA or something and they’ll ban your account. I suspect that’s not a problem for you though.

Alexstarfire ,

Looks like we need a trickshot category for bowling.

Alexstarfire ,

I was thinking the other way around. Pretty long for that type of violation, but I haven’t read the article yet. It’s making me think it’s probably data on quite a few patients which would, or at least should, give them a longer sentence.

Alexstarfire ,

Wait, we can export it? I’m sitting on a gold mine.

Alexstarfire ,

Sorry, these new people are just annoying as hell.

Alexstarfire ,

I’ve never had an apartment with a garage. At minimum I’d have needed a 100 ft extension cord. Probably longer, which means it’d have to be thicker. Which means more expensive.

Alexstarfire ,

IDK either, but it wouldn’t surprise me. Last place I was at they didn’t like that I removed their blinds. Not like I tossed them, but theirs sucked ass and I use blackout curtains anyway.

Alexstarfire ,

That’s also what I did. It was just stupid and more difficult. Cause it was the blinds to the patio door.

Alexstarfire ,

That is not what a fuse box, well breaker box, is for. A breaker box is pretty much only designed to prevent the wiring in your house from catching fire and to prevent people from accidentally electrocuting themselves. Though, the latter is more recent than you’d like it to be. GFCI wasn’t always required and I’m not even sure if AFCI is required everywhere. A breaker box will likely trip during a surge but it’s not going to be instant. So until it trips, all that extra power just flows through all your devices. Surge protectors are designed to prevent that.

While I’m pretty confident about this answer, I am not an electrician or anything. I just learned a lot when I had to get my breaker box replaced and had to brings some things up to code as a result.

Alexstarfire ,

So, you’re done with computer hardware?

Alexstarfire ,

Bacon still typically $6 a lbs. Double what it was before the pandemic.

Alexstarfire ,

I think wasting their time is the best they an do.

In my class/homeroom? I’m sitting on the couch. Just trying not to let life get me down. In my grade? Fuck if I know. I did know like the top 5 in my grade, of 600+ students, but I didn’t keep in touch once we went off to college. At least 2 went to Ivy League schools for undergrad. Don’t know about the other 3.

HP tied thermal shutdown to Windows, meaning it doesn't work on Linux. (imgur.com)

My HP All-In-One 20-c081nt has the processor Intel Core i3-6100U, which is supposed to not run hotter than 100C. On Windows if 100C is reached, the screen will fade out and PC will immediately shutdown. A warning will be shown at next boot. On Linux, seen in the video, the PC will simply keep running as if nothing has happened...

Alexstarfire ,

fucking station

Employers will do anything but raise employee pay.

Alexstarfire ,

I think I have enough to worry about already without worrying about what ifs.

Alexstarfire ,

No, that’s an assumption. Probably correct. But if you can see into the future you should buy some lotto tickets or some stocks.

Alexstarfire ,

Yes, that’s clearly the part I was referring to. 🙄

Alexstarfire ,

Unfortunately, I think too many people actually want that.

Alexstarfire ,

Everyone in the neighborhood must hate that homeowner.

Alexstarfire ,

I’d like to know how they managed to find Death in the first place. He’s a sneaky son of a bitch.

Who would win: every human in the world vs. every animal in the world?

I’m thinking the animals would easily defeat us, since trying to get all 8 billion+ humans to agree on a plan of attack would be a near-impossible task. By the time we’d be done trying to coordinate a plan, I figure the lions and cheetahs would have already devoured us, not to mention the larger animals like the elephants....

Alexstarfire ,

I take it you’ve never watched The Naked Jungle. I actually didn’t know that was the name of the movie until now. Not the best name. Anyway, it’s about millions of ants destroying everything in their path and a cocoa plantation owner trying to save his property from them.

Alexstarfire ,

For real. All the stuff that person complained about is something a manager should be handling. Mine do. It’s very rare for requirements to change for things I’m working on. There’s typically going to be some small changes, e.g. wording of a message or moving things around in the UI, that happen but that’s to be expected and one of the better parts of working in agile. You make something and find it doesn’t work as well as you hoped? Tweak it.

I think the only time things can change drastically is when I’m working on a priority event, AKA something really bad happened for a customer and we’ve got to fix it ASAP. There’s no time to do in depth research beforehand. You just dive in and sometimes you think it’s one thing but it’s really something else or it’s just more involved than you thought.

Alexstarfire , (edited )

I can’t think of anything plastic that I’d consider premium, let alone a phone.

EDIT: Wait, Legos.

Alexstarfire ,

What do you expect when your message says “don’t take money?”

Alex Jones agrees to liquidate his assets to pay Sandy Hook families, in move that would end his ownership of Infowars (www.cnn.com)

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on Thursday moved to liquidate his personal assets, agreeing to demands from the families of Sandy Hook victims whom he owes more than $1.5 billion in damages over his lies about the 2012 school massacre....

Alexstarfire ,

This wording is far too kind to this shithead. Makes it sound like it was out of the goodness of his heart. He was forced to because he owes like a billion dollars in judgements and has been trying to use his companies and whatever stupid shenanigans he can come up with to try and prevent any sort of payout to his victims.

Alexstarfire ,

Dude doesn’t even know about the magic smoke.

Alexstarfire ,

No thanks Nike. I won’t “just do it.”

Alexstarfire ,

You can’t decrease something by more than 100% without going negative. I’m assuming this doesn’t actually decompress files before you tell it to.

Does this actually decompress in 1/13th the time?

Alexstarfire ,

Pretty sure the judge had his hands tied for the max fine he could dole out to Trump. Still a problem that should be fixed but it’s not cause of the judge.

Alexstarfire ,

We do what?

Alexstarfire ,

Ohh, I actually knew about this already… because it’s not worms but fly larvae. They drop sterilized male larvae to “mate” with females and thus produce no offspring. Only for one specific type of fly though. The video has much more details but that’s the gist of it.
