Theoretically they should already have them. Solingen is a city famous for the production of cutlery, and is where Böker is based among many, many others like Wüsthof, Zwilling, Eickhorn, Wolfertz, etc. It is literally known as the “City of Blades.” The town’s coat of arms has two crossed swords on it.

One wonders if the location of this attack was deliberately chosen for just that reason.

Germany is also well known for having an array of insane knife laws.

The main Airbnb value proposition was trading some of the conveniences you get at a hotel for a significantly cheaper room.

When they are roughly the same price as staying in a hotel, why would you choose it?

The only time I’ve ever used an Airbnb was when I wanted a location that did not have a good hotel option. Which has been cabins in the woods, and beach front property. Outside of that, I would rather have the convenience of a hotel.
