I wonder if this is related to US Feds wanting to keep certain zero-day exploits undisclosed for their own purposes. This is something that has happened a few times already. NSA and the like will maintain silence on exploits they use on targets, or even force implementation of backdoors via quasi-legal means.
There’s almost no reason to trust closed-source non-free software anymore really, especially from US-aligned corps.
I don’t get how a legal entity can somehow magically hand its liability to a ficticious subsidiary. If the suit is against JJ, how could it be pointed somewhere else? Like what is the legal standing for that…?
The legal standing is that a brazenly corrupt Supreme Court has been purchased by billionaires, and any sort of regulatory agency that might counter that sort of thing has been defanged or defunded.
J&J’s “Two-Step” strategy has already been knocked down twice by Federal Courts and unless J&J appeals the cases will never reach SCOTUS and they won’t do that because they know they will lose. There’s also no “regulatory agency” in charge of the cases that Federal Courts can or must hear nor should one exist.
I agree J&J’s “court shopping” like this is unethical but its up to Congress to make it illegal. Congress, not the Judiciary, is to blame for continuing to allow this legal chicanery
If the suit is against JJ, how could it be pointed somewhere else?
The parent company sells or transfers all of the assets related to the lawsuit to a separate company and along with those assets goes all the liabilities…like lawsuits.
Or… Not? And we accept the DNC fucked the election by not insisting Biden stay out of it last year due to age.
But that would require the octogenarians admitting they shouldn’t be running the country still and need to pass it on to younger generations. Instead they’re ostriches sticking their head in the sand and attacking anyone that even attempts to get close to suggest it.
This is what we have. A shit old choice, or the total end of Democracy in the US. It’s not a hard decision, just the worst two option choice we’ve had in history, brought about by the party’s inability to admit we need to transition away from the two party system, something the founding fathers specifically wanted against.
Theres tunnels under them thar hospitals! (And “safe zones” and markets and universities and anywhere we want to take over and sell at auctions in other countries in synagogues and when the locals protest that then we’ll claim antisemitism and the local media will support us! -isreal
I am pretty sure this is what took my Aunt. She would bath herself in it every day since I could remember. Died of cancer a few years back but because of other choices the link would never be made.
The fee equals around $7.2 billion at Tesla’s Friday’s stock price and amounts to a rate of roughly $370,000 for every hour worked by the 37 lawyers, associates and paralegals, some of whom normally bill as little as $275 an hour, according to court documents submitted Tornetta’s lawyers.
I’m gonna send my boss a bill for over 1000 x my usual pay and just retire. I’m sure that’ll work with no objections. Wtf
These next couple of days should be interesting down there.
Wheels’ power grid already has 2 million out, and Slimey Ted is tweeting about a furniture store owner on the ground doing good deeds from a tropical beach his family made him go to.
