Definitely muddled by the fact that they learned most of what we know about the medical consequences of radiation exposure from Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the decade following. And then they can be like “well we didn’t know it was harmful!”- but “we didn’t poison them intentionally” is a low bar
You suggested a propaganda film. I know what happened in Bikini Atoll and the subsequent federal activity and lack thereof, I don’t need to “watch” history laden with a political agenda to learn what can be read.
63% of employees are unable to cover a $500 emergency expense, according to a new survey from SecureSave, a provider of a financial technology platform to help employers provide emergency savings benefits.
Well, they wouldn’t have any reason to lie about that, would they?
I hate saying that because you have the marathon symbol and I love old school bungie with a passion, but if someone tries to kick your door down and break your window, if you are not scared for your life then you are just as drunk as he is.
Not fucking kill them, for sure. Dude, there’s other places of the body you could’ve shot at to make your point. Least of all, study the human body some to at least know where the parts that aren’t vital that you can shoot to, that’ll at least send the bastard to the hospital to be treated.
If a gun is not available, find the nearest hard object and just beat that fucker’s body down until they’re down on the ground.
There is no need to be killing to be involved. When you kill someone over this, you’re in the wrong, by default.

Spoken like only a person that’s never been in a possible life or death situation and that has undergone zero self defense or tactical training.
Yup, lot of video game playing, “I would have done x instead”, captain hindsight people in here. You NEVER point a gun at something you don’t intend to kill.
No, it doesn’t mean “they were on the planet” it’s because in every way he broke into that home and you’re damn right YOU would have feared for your life in that situation. Don’t insult yourself by pretending otherwise.
Dude I’m with you. There’s a ton of shitty gun owner stories but this isn’t really one of them.
He wasn’t just “oh excuse me, wrong house” - he broke the window trying to unlatch the door. Pretty sure if I had a I bat I would have broken his arm, if I had I knife I would have stabbed him. Not saying shooting is necessarily a proportionate response but anyone who says they wouldn’t be scared shitless is a liar.
I really don’t know about that. It’s a $20,000 camera probably, but there is a good chance the rig itself is likely 10 years old, so the lens is likely the only thing they could make a few hundred off of, but that isn’t enough for a 3 man job.
I suspect robbing a journalist and taking their camera is to make their name known. They probably ditched the camera pretty close to immediately.
I’ve worked in TV news. The cameras are more like $5,000-$10,000 and you could easily sell one on eBay for a few thousand: www.ebay.com/itm/294894087336
<span style="color:#323232;">They get sent overseas often times...and Its a problem alot photogs face and happens quite a bit. There has been several in San francisco just like this, but news cams get stolen quit a bit at major events. Serial #s dont do shit when independent contractors will buy stolen cams at a discount.

The title and everyone here suggests that Putin had a critic of his killed while in the capitol of his largest competing nation, a nation full of Putin critics. The police putting out that they don’t suspect foul play had to alarm people, yet it stands. It seems like this may actually be an accident, otherwise a master assassin or a lot of money regardless is at play for marginal returns. Seems unlikely.
People like this don’t fall out of a window by accident. They are not stupid or careless. I read the article and it’s really light on details too. It says he had fall damage and that’s it.
I’m not saying you’re totally wrong, but also yes sometimes people actually do just fall out of windows or whatever else. That’s why there are regulations to try to make them safer. Accidents do sometimes just happen. This one is suspicious, but it is totally possible that, in this case, someone did just fuck up.
Sure but it’s extreamly unlikely that this particular person would fall out of a window. There are people in the world that are very often involved in accidents, due to their personality and risk taking behavior. But people like this guy is not one of those.
Being a Putin critic sounds like risk taking behavior…
I don’t know how you can judge this guy’s risk profile from this. Again, I don’t disagree that it’s weird, but also I don’t know anything about the person and sometimes things just happen.
In the motherland lmao its very common to fall off of windows if you speak against the mafia like regime, so this is totally on brand so other would be challengers take notice
I want to know if there’s a random unrelated bug going around too, or if this new strain just has heavy impact on the back of the throat and that is it. Seems like everyone I work with has had had some weird impossible-to-clear-your-throat virus that doesn’t lead to much coughing or any sneezing so folks aren’t staying home. If that’s the new covid it makes a lot of sense why it would be spreading.
Same here. Took multiple rapid tests, all negative. Maybe the new strain does not work well with the test, or it is an unrelated illness. Canada here BTW.
The mutations in this strain (EG.5) shouldn’t be affecting the rapid-test target. Most kits use both the N -gene and S-gene to account for potential future mutations, and both genes have only small number of point-mutations across those two genes. If you want to waste an afternoon check out outbreak.info and look at the lineage comparison tool.
My experience with the tests has been very mixed. My wife has had COVID multiple times, and she has tested negative many times, both at home and at the doctor and then as she’s starting to recover, around day 4 or 5 she will test positive.
I, in the other hand, have never tested positive although I did feel slightly under the weather for a couple days the last time she had it.
If only. I was so hopeful early in COVID that Western countries would embrace mask wearing when sick. But noooo, dipshits had to politicize it and make it a wedge issue.
I completed the cycle of jabs and now I don’t need another one for a while here, when it come to covid, and I suggest doing the same if you haven’t, this is Still a virus and it’s no joke. Now I’m waiting for the flu shot to be released here, cause after the experience of the last year’s flu I say never again.
“You can’t do that,” Popp tells Box. “That will be dropped.”
“Yeah, it’s gonna get dropped,” Box replies. “I told (Douglas) it’s definitely going to get thrown out. … I said, ‘Ah, that’s not really going to fly, buddy.’”
Douglas is heard saying that even if the charge would be dropped, it at least “inconvenienced” Guessford.
These people aren’t stupid, and they leveraged his presidency perfectly. They were remiss in their failure to pick up a history book because they seem honestly shocked that Trump, while he demands loyalty, shows loyalty to absolutely no one but himself.
Ben Carson used to be a world class neurosurgeon, Ted Cruz was educated at Yale and Princeton and Rand Paul is technically still a doctor. All of them also colossal morons.
