I have an older i7 circa 2009, 16 gigs ram, and a gtx1060 with an ssd for os. I’m thinking either Pop!_Os or Nobara? Idea’s, what do yall think?

i’ve been interested in switching to linux for gaming but i’m not sure how the games i play run; i like to play Apex legends and Overwatch 2 competitively. can linux run these games with low latency and high frame rate? i’m looking into the Nobara project and pikaOS distros

Hello, i recently uninstalled mangohud because i couldn’t figure out why 32bit mangohud wasn’t working at all. i tried to compile it again with 32bit and now every time i try to launch a game that runs proton it just opens for a few seconds then crashes immediately. I use coolercontrol to set fan curves, but the application needs to be open for it to work. If I run GPU pass through there is no X server running, so the app can’t stay open while running the VM and I have no control over fan curves....

I had The Division 2 running well under Lutris with Proton 8.8 (downloaded from GloriousEggRoll). Put in many hours with this configuration and it was rock solid. Just to be clear, this is the non-Steam version of The Division 2 bought directly from Ubisoft....
