In Linux Mint MATE 20.3, I’m getting errors basically saying I need GCC 2.32 or higher. I have GCC 2.31, and actually did find, download and compile GCC 2.32, but online tutorials say to only run GCC 2.32+ from the home directory, otherwise it’ll likely break other packages short of an OS upgrade.
I’m not in any rush to upgrade past this LTS version, nor can I get TR1X to recognize whatever it needs from GCC 2.32 from the home directory.
Any advice, that hopefully doesn’t involve upgrading Linux itself? I don’t quite have enough free space to even consider an OS upgrade right now…
Ah, no I haven’t tried that yet, but it sure sounds like a plan. I’m not at my computer right now, but I’ll definitely try that this evening or as soon as I can.
It only exposes Vulkan 1.0 which means only DXVK works and up to version 1.5.1, not later. Also, Rise of the Tomb Raider was extremely slow when I tried it so some major optimizations have to be done as well I think. Beyond that it’s perfectly usable.
The only way to properly use NVK now is Arch Linux or something based on it. Ubuntu doesn’t even remotely have the necessary packages yet. On Optimus (running with both GPUs -AMD and Nvidia - on) everything works splendidly desktop-wise yeah. On MUX (meaning running only on the Nvidia GPU on the laptop) nothing works properly, so be warned.
I like DualShock 4. It should be cheaper now, that DualSense is out, gyro is a great thing in case you decide to play some shooters or space sims. Steam supports it out of the box
As for dongle, I’ve used the cheapest BT5 I’ve found and did not have issues
