A while back I signed up to rammy.site a small lemmy instance run by a single person. It was a very nice instance, very stable and had pretty good access to other instances, or at least it used to. Recently though all of that has changed when the instance was taken over by far right-wing users from the right-wing instance known...

Are there instances that run modified versions of the base Lemmy software? For example, that use their own sorting algorithms, or provide users ways to block instances or specific users, etc?...

I’m trying to run a java app that creates settings/configuration files, but I’m not sure where and how exactly it’s creating those said files. I hope it’s okay to ask for support here. I have a 2022 Motorola 5G phone, and it keeps turning down the volume on its own by exactly four notches. Is it possible this is some kind of setting somewhere? Maybe I have accidentally turned this on, and it’s trying to protect my hearing or something?
