TAS recommendations
It’s been a while since I’ve watched the entire show. Unfortunstely, I’m already involved in some other binge watching of a show, so, I’d like to hear about your favourite episodes of TAS so I can toss them in between.

I am currently using an old laptop (circa 2015) with a 250GB SSD in it, and 4GB of RAM. It runs Fedora 39 Server, and only hosts a Jellyfin instance through Docker right now (though I want to use Nextcloud later too). There is only 15GB of storage left on it, and the CPU is constantly overloaded (due to forced transcoding). I...
I used to use NewPipe back in the days of yore. Then I got Youtube Premium since it bundled in Youtube Music as well which I used. But the former’s app on mobile is a shit show. Even after paying, you are asked to tip random creators, purchase merchandise[ which are shown as actual ads below videos] and join channels to access...
Hey hello, self-hosting noob here. I just want to know if anyone would know a good way to host my writing. Something akin to those webcomic sites, except for writing. Multiple stories with their own “sections” (?) and a chapter selection for each. Maybe a home page or profile page to just briefly detail myself or whatever, I...

Yeah, that’s unnecessary. Let’s start doing humans without that.
Ultra-low-end business laptops from 2015 with a mobile Intel Core i3, 4 GB of RAM, and integrated graphics still have a dramatically better gaming experience than the Pixel 7 Pro. Why?...
It has always amused me that the tourists to the US that I’ve spoken to are often very excited to see raccoons, and disappointed if they don’t see them before they leave....
I want to try to set up a Raspberry Pi I have as a smart TV box and I was hoping I could find some advice....
Maybe not such a shitpost but the mere existence of things like Lemmy and kBin is comforting, especially after living through the enshittification of Reddit.
I’m a happy user of Inoreader. I like it so much I’m considering buying a premium plan. However, I’m looking for an alternative I wouldn’t have to pay for. I came across FreshRSS. The only thing that’s keeps me from moving is the sync. I don’t want to expose it to the internet but I want to be able to access it on a...
I wonder how many thousands of spam bots have tried to connect to the servers and send email using text ripped from these pages federated across numerous domains....
It’s kinda how you read the name, innit?
Through apps like Shadowrocket/Loon/Surge/QuantumultX (IOS) and with...
hot take?...
I’m thinking along the lines of older spouse dies, younger spouse marries someone younger and becomes the older spouse. Then older spouse dies again and repeat. Has anything like this happened in a long enough chain to be significant? Is it so mundane no one cares?
Whenever I see a conversation along the lines of “what episode should I show my friend/partner/etc. to get them hooked on Star Trek,” the suggestions are pretty predictable - your “best” episodes that are regarded to represent the franchise at its peak....
macOS Spaces (virtual desktop) allows the user to have multiple desktops PER MONITOR. When a user switches a space, it’s not the entire set of monitors, just the one they are in....
Why do we focus solely on this one aspect of life?
I got into Civilization rather late with their fifth entry. I was hesitant because as I get older I need more time to game than I do new titles. Still I picked up six with all DLC during the last sale. I have to say I am liking the changes. It was good to wait because Civ does need its DLCs to feel complete....
The Weeping Angels apparently originated with Steven Moffat seeing a statue of a weeping angel in a structure in a cemetery and returning later to find out it was gone. At least according to this RadioTimes article. They first appeared in 2007 in the episode Blink....
I recently installed Linux mint ane was unpleasantly surprised that it is virtually impossible on every desktop environment, as opposed to Ubuntu on which it required very little.
