Do they get adopted by other instances? Are they still accessible from other instances? Can you still post on them from another instance?...

I think I got a better diagnosis from the AI than the doctor I visited recently. But I can’t take the word of the AI at face value, so I’m looking for a site where I can ask for medical advice online. Hopefully somewhere where I can get a couple different opinions.

I notice that when I search for communities I see the same community has been created on multiple instances. I could subscribe to all of them but I’d much rather it be one larger community. Does any else see this as an issue or find this frustrating? If so, have you done anything that’s made it easier to deal with or have...

I am already self-hosting a lot of things for 15+ years now, including git, but I am looking for a solution like Github that is federalized (not Gitlab or the like)....

I really don’t have a lot of background on cluster munitions; it only really came into my perception in response to the controversy over the US providing them to Ukraine. As I understand it, the controversy is because they often don’t all explode reliably, and unexploded munitions can then explode months or years later when...

I can only find websites where you need a subscription or pay for each music sheet.

I don’t tend to eat much fish, but in the supermarket earlier I saw some smoked salmon which didn’t need cooking, and some salmon fillets which did. They looked the same really - both ‘raw’. I decided to buy some of the fillet. It was nice, but a very different flavour from when I’ve tried smoked salmon in the past....

We have bookwyrm.social, which does an excellent job at replacing the need for goodreads (which is owned by Amazon). But is there an alternative to imdb.com?

I’m currently struggling with upgrading some Postgres DBs on my home-k3s and I’m seriously considering throwing it all away since it’s such a hassle....

Curious as to how many others do this, or if I am just crazy. Anyone else buy physical copies of games and movies and play/watch a pirated version to keep the original product sealed? Do you have a different method or do something similar?
