Use Mull + uBlock Origin. You can sync stuff between desktop and mobile. Yes, I hate Mull’s launch icon because the damned animal’s ears are cut, and it bugs me to the point of me considering switching to Fennec, but I also hate the name “Fennec FDroid” - like, why is there the substring “FDroid”. But other than that, I have no complaints.
Edit: those are mildly infuriating, but I can live with it. Exaggeration because I’m in /c/[email protected].
When the icon shape is round it might look like what you describe, have you tried changing the shape? Even the stock android launcher has that option I believe, but I might be wrong.
Edit: and if don’t like that it says F-droid in the name of the Fennec app, just rename it? Sorry, I might be misunderstanding you, but those reasons are a bit silly and easily fixable.
About the Fennec solution, I don’t really understand what do you mean by rename - are you talking about building the entire browser app with my own patch? Building a browser just for myself is very inconvenient. Also, the name “Fennec FDroid” is probably a violation of Mozilla’s trademark policy - Fennec was the old name for Fenix. Adding FDroid does not resolve the possible trademark violation.

I suggested OP that they use Mull, which is what I use, and that there are a few grievances that I have. I don’t have to explain to you what mild inconveniences are, do I? I also don’t recall asking for your help, neither did I ask for you to assume that I have problems with such minor issues. I am not going to create a fork just for that, I trust the defaults by the Divest team for privacy-focused browsing.

You can’t do shit because it’s a problem with your phone. This is not something handled by the app. The app only provides the icon, it’s Android that’s supposed to handle the launch animation; that’s why launch animations can look completely different on phone’s made by different OEMs.

You mean the home page branding. Just change the home tab to a different page, problem solved. Might need to be done via about:config but it should be possible; I know it’s possible in Mull at least, I had changed it a one point a few months ago when I was going through the config options and it worked.
Brave keeps playing youtube videos (music) when you lock the screen on your phone. Haven’t found out how to do that on firefox and I won’t pay youtube for a standard feature they took away
Might as well extend the steps so that they touch each other. It would no longer have a platform there, but it would be easier to climb. You would have a step ledge, but it’s already a crap situation.
I mean personally I fail to see how this whole… thing… is better than like… adding a half inch or whatever to each of the stair rises in the flight on the way up… as long as it doesn’t surpass 7 3/4 inch per-stair rise, which I imagine this doesn’t come close to just by the way it looks, you could probably kill a lot of that weirdness with just super basic alterations…
No, I think this hazard was a conscious decision, or at least the architect who drew it up sucks.
I’m surprised it meets code tho, tbh. This is just begging someone to tumble down the stairs in the middle of the night.
Could even be caused by code - complying with current code only applies to things you change.
For example, maybe the stairs were in a bad place so someone moved them (I briefly considered that). Now the stairs need to comply with code, such as maximum steepness. How do you make that fit? The right way probably involves expensive structural mods (or having just said no), so this is the contractor making it fit “affordable”
